I have 2014 Honda civic oriel prosmatic (automatic transmission) and the max range it gives me is 9.8 km/l with the Economy mode on !! Isn't it supposed to give around 14? Please help.
I m also planning to buy one. And finalising a deal of 2015 oriel pros. Please let me know fuel economy on local at eco mode. 8-9 is scary. As i ll be shifting from City2012. :/.
Anything above 9 is the best one can get...he should even distribute mithai if someone gets above 9...yes many people get around 10 and even 11 but that is one in hundred and for that you will be hearing horns behind you as you will have to accelerate the car on first paddle
I drove my 9th Gen 35000 kilometer ever since I bought it brand new. Never ever ever in its life it had had gone below 8.5 no matter how harsh or rough i was on the throttle. And that maybe only very occasional for it to drop that low. It would normally do 10-11 in summers with full AC. And I don't drive exactly like senior citizens I am often throttle happy. As far as the iMid on board fuel average is concerned, well some other fellows here might have variations but whenever and IF I checked and compared it with an ordinary calculation method (Kms / Liters) it used to be a 99% precise figure as on display. On highway I fetched 16+ You can subtract a figure of 1-2 kilometers per Liter from 9th Gen fuel average to have an idea of 8th Gen fuel average.
Local average, mid season with some little bit AC usage during afternoon travels PS: as mentioned earlier my iMid was almost precise even by manual calculation
The R18 engine is a fuel guzzler, but then, it also depends on your driving style and traffic conditions. 8-10 kpl is normal for an automatic civic. If you're patient, you can extract 12kpl provided there is less traffic and you keep a light foot on the pedal. 9.8, in my book, for an automatic civic, is satisfactory unless you're driving on the motorway which should give you anywhere between 13-15 kpl, provided you don't exceed 100 km/h.
