Chinese Tyres - Winda, Mirage, Triangle. Help needed

Hey,

So I've been looking to purchase tyres for my Civic 08, now we all know the Civic has a pretty fragile suspension given KHI's road condition but in any case I want to purchase some budget minded tires considering I've just recently graduated out of Uni and have to commute to DHA to work. Now I have Yoko's installed on the car but they've barely lasted 30k km's, they don't have any punctures but their treads are shot.

I've been surveying the market for a week or so and I've seen a lot of people buying Mirage and Winda tires, I've heard Winda makes pretty good tires but I need some reviews on these two brands. I'm getting 195/65/15 for 7.5 each currently (Winda) and 7.0 for Mirage. Any ideas in terms of road noise and how well they last ? I don't want to be getting punctures fixed every day but I'd also not like them to be extremely hard. Thanks in advance for any replies !

I have no experience of Chinese tyres, but have you considered Korean tyres like kumho/hankook?
They might be a little more pricey than Chinese but a safer bet. Have been using kumho for past 4-5 years

Yes, I bought Jinyu but within 1 year, they all had lots of puncture plus got 2 of them got deshaped.. So not at all safe for Long route with family.

Then purchased Linglong, too much noisy and road grip at speed as well as in rainy season were too bad.

Also bought mirage or such name from MP for Cultus, it was also poor and just a more air in tyre on highway which is common in summer gets it deshaped which is irreversible and thus you cannot expect good alignment with them.

BTW noise rating is always compromised in Chinese brands

That doesn't sound right, have you been driving on badly paved roads? I've heard of weird stories but never anything this bad.

I will suggest Kumho, you will get them around 9 to 9.5k per tyre... they are better with established brand name and are factory fitted now in both hyuandai and kia cars.

Not any personal experience but had good experience with hankook and kumho...also there isnt much difference in price considering the value korean tires provide so I never considered them... You hardly able to find tyre performance ratings of Chinese tyres on the Internet.

True, have you purchased Kumho's in KHI? I'm unable to find any seller for them. A place nearby used to sell them but now they don't.

No experience with Chinese tyres. Just used EuroStars and Yokohama. In my opinion, EuroStars are better than Chinese. I used them for 45,000km in my City and they were quite adequate. No de—shaping or frequent puncturing. You might be able to get your size almost new at some dealer as Corolla owners swap tyres as soon as buying. As for Kumho tyres I used Google and got the link below. Maybe they can help you out.

Wonderful experience with Chinese tyres. Used advan dB and Pirelli Cinturato P1 in my Honda city. After that, used Gremax and they were far better than the earlier two brands in every aspect. Also have been using Autogrip on my dad's Vitz since last 3 x years. Going perfectly well

Exactly...I have Autogrip P308 in my Vitz... Very soft tyre with amazing grip.....specially in wet conditions due to its tread pattern

Where'd you get the Advan Db / Auto Grips at ? Anywhere in KHI ? I went to the market today and only found WestLake and Kumho Chinese.

Bro got Advab dB is Yokohama. You can get from anywhere. Autogrip and Gremax were wonderful tyres but aren't available lately I heard

Ah, makes sense. Going to wait a few more days to see if there are any other recommendations from people. Thinking to pick up the Kumhos, they seem to be pretty good.

Don't just randomly pick them. Check what is available. Take a day to Google pros and cons. Every Kumho or every Yokohama isn't good. For example, the Pirelli I bought were brilliant in the beginning but within few thousand kilometers turned to crap. Eventually walls cracked. Then I switched to Gremax which was the best decision ever
