there's no substitute to Bugatti - its in a class of its own.. It could have literally ran rings around that GT-R..

Actually GTR is faster in a race track by a wide margin. And also compare the prices
Nissan = 70000 aprox
Bugatti Veyron = 1200000
After getting nissan for 70000 you spare 1130000 for which you could buy pagani zonda r or ferrari enzo or bunch of other super cars as well
So if bugati is even 50% faster then its price should be 140000 max. Thats why it does not justify its price.
You can't compare GT-R to Veyron. After watching this vdo, I think GT-R won. Why because it wasn't far off from veyron if you take these factors into account?
One Veyron price can buy around 13 GT-R
Veyron 16 cylinder, GT-R 6
Veyron 4 turbos, GT-R 2
Veyron 2 seater, GT-R 4
Over all GT-R wins because it costs less, more practical and isn't far off from Veyron when it comes to drag. I'm sure GT-R would be better in corners then Veyron....
honestly i think the GTr did very well when compared to one of the titans of the hypercar segment,.. BUT people wanting to drag race a Veyron with any "tuned" car should think twice before taking on a Pegaso tuned version 
However a 1939 daimler-Benz T80 would wipe the floor with the veyron anyday, anytime.
I was thinking exactly same too when I watched this VDO. I think till maybe 200ish GTR will keep up but after that Veyron will go as that P800 GTR tops out at 330kph I think and Veyron goes 400+
oh come on guys, from what angle does it even remotely look like the GT-R performed well? the poor thing probably finished a century later after the veyron crossed the line...
speaking of the price, so why even test different cars if price (or any other aspect) is to be brought up as a factor later?
the sole purpose of this test was not to show how well or poor the GT-R would perform against the veyron (it was a given that it would be trounced anyway), but to give an indication as to what a veyron can do to a reasonably quick car.. and the video demonstrated that point quite successfully. The veyron in fact did walk all over the GT-R..
And I'm yet to see any car that has given the veyron even a tough time much less beat it.. the zenvo, pagani, mclaren, you name it and the veyron has pulverized it...this car, as I said earlier, is in a league of its own, so we cant just compare it with other cars - as yet..

Either worked up cars based on production models, one off projects, or not production models at all (selling/modifying 10-20 cars of a particular model does not make it a production model in my books...I know they classify it as one but still)..
On the other hand, a veyron is a production model Grand Tourer in every single imaginable sense of the term.. so there's no comparison.. if it was like that, we could then well pit it against a formula 1 car too, where it would definitely not stand any chance.. (A) 
and I'd love to see all of those cars tested against the veyron some day.. a documentary proof would be nice to see if those cars really live up to their expectations..
