Okay tomorrow I plan to purchase a HOme entertainment system for my LCD Samsung tv.

I am choosing between these two models

[h=1]Samsung HT-E355[/h]http://uk.hardware.info/productinfo/157141/samsung-ht-e355#tab:reviews

this particular model is only 330 watts without an optical out. Meaning I can only watch movies on this system meaning that audio if I am watching cable tv will not come on this. Which suits me fine but I guess sometimes if watching a match or something surround sound would be nice 5.1 style.

But the room I am going to be watching it in is not that big so this would be a perfect size.

Second option

HDMI DVD Home Theatre HT-F453HK

I am more leaning towards this model. Although this will be 1000watts. And would be overkill for my room.
However, its speakers are small in size an would fit perfectly in my room as compared to the model above.

This also has ARC out option meaning I can hear cable on this systems speakers. This is the latest 2014 model and I think would be perfect for my Samsung F6100 32 HD LED tv.....

Although this model is 700 watts more than the above option with ARC capability it is 8000rs more but I think is more value for money. 8000 more but ARC as well as 1000 watts vs 300 watts.

Overkill 1000 watts for my room vs smart 330 watts

Anything better than the 100 watts at the moment. Although it is loud enough.

obviously the second one is the one....

I can't find the detail specs on the speakers on the website, but seems okay.....

check this one here :

5.1 Channel Home Theater System | Samsung HT-F4500

fits ur requirement better, I don't know if it is available in pakistan...

its 500W, with the connectivity that you need (audio in from TV).

the only issues I was facing all day yesterday were that I could not get the voice from my media player onto my home theatre system....
and as I watch 97 % of my shows and movies on my media player this was a big no no.

I scoured the land far and wide and finally thought of a solution. An optical cable.
Connected my samsung amplifier to the samsung tv via optical cable....and my media player of course is connected to the tv via hdmi and that seems to have resolved the issue. Now great sound from the tv cable and my media player comes on the 1000watt home theatre.

Conversely one problem. And that is that if I ever play a usb or cd movie (hardly ever) directly from the samsung amplifier then the sound always comes from the home theatre system. The source on the amplifier automatically changes from usb to dv in(the optical cable input option) and the usb stops playing.

the only way I bypass this issue is plugging the usb directly into the tv.

Sorry if this is confusing and if it wordy but a techhead would understand what I a m saying.

Overall , all in all a great product so far with the 1000watts I can play it low and still get a rich sound or loud when I am in the mood and rattle windows....

used to be not anymore ....

I had a terrible experience with their home theatre system along with a bravia lcd tv i had bought from them...

makes sense that their quality has gone down if you read their financials and the reasons they give to their customers their demand has gone down and in many sectors are making huge losses...

thanks but no thanks...if I see sony I run far far away in the other direction;)

even if you gave sony to me free i would never take it
