India's own 'G-Wagon', Force Gurkha

Gurkha and Judo are two offroad vehicles made by force motors of India. Force motors was earlier known as "Bajaj Tempo".

these are targeted towards rural customers as well as those looking for offroading without a huge budget. very popular in hills next to JEEP(Mahindra). it costs around Indian Rupees ₹10 Lakhs OTR price. is powered by a 80bhp and a 91bhp turbo OM-616 derived engine. there are enough videos on youtube(search terms: "force gurkha","trax gurkha/judo") showing Gurkha's capabilities. It can also cruise at 100kmph fine. however, BS-3(Euro-III) models are only available now and BS-4 CRDI model yet to be launched.

Judo and Gurkha 4 wheel drive vehicles can directly trace their lineage to the Mercedes G wagon. Being one of the world's most capable and comfortable off road vehicles, it is exported to various armies and european union countries. Many of the essential parts used by the Gurkha and Judo 4x4 are sourced or licence manufactured from Mercedes Benz, Bosch, Setyr-Puch etc..

The vehicle is a formidable off roader with impeccable on road performance. It has many features that is impossible to find in most of the so called off-road vehicles any where in the world. The level of mechanical refinement and technology in the vehicle is a couple of decades ahead of the competition.

Force Motors offers it's 4 wheel drives in three wheel bases. 2400 mm, 2750 mm and 3050 mm. In the Indian market, the three versions are called the Judo SWB and Gurkha(2400mm), Judo and Gamma(2750mm) and the Cruiser Classic and Ambulance(3050mm).

Force Motors also markets it's vehicles to various armed forces around the world under the name Tempo 290 GTD.

This vehicle is not just the best 4x4 in India. It is amongst the best 4x4 s in the whole world. In 1987 the German Auto Magazine rated Gurkha as the best 4x4 in Germany!!!!!

however, compared to tata safari, thar like SUV's with 140bhp range, this SUV got a underpowered engine, yet enough for offroading with it's torque.

Good effort but I think Design People are still living 20 years back in time they could do better than that.. that machine looks ugly though.

this look is design for massive offroading.. it's a offroader not a fashioned Ferrari .

well i am sorry to say brother but can you tell me which part of this 4x4 look good :frowning: ..i have noticed one thing its suspension it has got coil springs its not a leaf spring suspension which i love it :)apart from that .....its more catoonish type it should be more like MAN MADE ,its more like 4x4 blended with cars ...Main problem is in the front grill it has penetrated the front bumper which isn't common in rugged 4x4's....... rest is if its 4x4 i love it but need some changes

the Name is Awesome and the vehcle in video is looking good but above in pics :frowning:

if you see most of the 4x4's it has grill above the bumper a smart barrier like ,of solid steel which tells you that upto this you can hit or push any thing ... 4x4 stuf

yester years G wagen to be precise. force gurkha is based on mercedes g-wagen. I believe it has got the famous OM616 series derived TCIC engine.
