Why Mitsubishi Mr Slim is too expensive

AoA,

I want to purchase an AC. While looking at the price of Air Conditioners I found that Mr slim is about 13k-14k more expensive then Hair and Orient. Its not inverter based then why its more expensive. Also tell me that is it recommended?

Bro if you find a GENUINE Mitsubishi Product that says 'Made in Japan' on it, then I DO recommend it.

However some shopkeepers try to persuade you to buy those **** ones made in Gujranwala but the sticker says 'Made in Thailand'. Then they say: "Aaj kal Mitsubishi kay AC Thailand or China se atay hai"
That's ********, I know an AC guy who came to my house for servicing the AC's and he said the Mr.Slims that I bought were fake. The cooling is crap, it always needs servicing and ice frequently builds up in the internal unit and then it starts shooting out of the vents.

i bought in 2012 for 42-44k dont remember exact 1 ton
its still giving great cooling at 23 C
never service it mr slim also consume electricity v less as compared to orient

hier is also japnese company if i am not wrong it must be costly than dawlance and orient

Does the inventor based A/Cs really consume less power.. I got my 1ton kenwood serviced today and the guy told me that it consumes 5 amp at peak however inventor based A/Cs consume just 2 amps which is like 500w.. How true is this ?

both not true

kenwood 1 ton has three rated currents for outdoor unit it should written on its panel and in the end you'll find that it takes some 5.8 amp while normal usage then the inner unit takes 0.5 amp so net it should be above 6 and near to 6.25

-- the invertor based has been discussed here no of times .. try finding a detailed thread and you'll know that once the ac reaches desired temp it slows down the compressor to avvoid the high starting load ... overall diffence in 10-20 percent provided there is no load-shedding and you use it for quite no of hrs continously and keep temp low .. rest is all marketting gig

Haier, orient both have mitsubishi compressor. I have all of three. Cooling wise 1) Mr Slim 2) Haier 3) Orient
but all of them do their work satisfactory.
The price is higher bcz of good quality of inside and outside unit a.ka. heat exchanger i.e the fins/coils purity.
if installed properly all of them do their job efficiently.

If ALL THE New acs are bad and are of bad materials then how do you explain the old acs that we have that also go bad continously

its like damnd if we do and damnd if we dont....................I too am looking for a new ac ....bought three grees 2 years ago and all have them went bad 20 times altogether

got a used daikan made in dubai in an exchange three weeks ago but at first its circuit went bad.
had it repaired but the repair guy screwed up something so the compressor would not shut

now it is icing alot which the guy told me was because of the compressor not shutting

But for now mashallah se it is is cooling great but i still want to buy a new ac and after research have decided on sharp 1.5 tonnes

supposedly made in thailand with 3 and 2 years warranty compressor and parts and warranty from the company not importer warranty

....the only issue is this daikan is cooling so well now and after hearing peopls horror stories about new acs and their parts and my ac mans warnings against new acs i am deciding maybe against it but just cant deal with this daikan going bad again....so i might just take the plunge tom

providing the shop man actually sends the ac...he constantly is telling me he will send it but does not have the fitting men as the season is so hot and i can have it installed myself

but i am thinking i should get the shop keepers person to install it otherwise they may say my guys screwed it up

bought 2 mr slims in 2007 and they haven't broken yet and work like nothing else
