If money isn't an issue then i would suggest you go with the audi e-tron.
however if you don't have that much budget then kia sportage and hyundai tucson are a good option to look at. Generally SUV's don't go above 10-12 kmpl within city.

If you are looking at Tuscon/Sportage league, then buy the FWD version. They give relatively better economy than AWD/4WD options.

If mileage is more important, then go for the CH-R hybrid. It has the same engine and hybrid set-up as Prius 4th generation, and mileage is amazing. The 1800cc engine with electric motor has reasonable power as well. The downside is that space-wise it is a class/category lower than Tuscon/Sportage, so you will not get the similar space, and CH-R is a little tight inside. I personally feel it is more of a car than an SUV.

Other options like MG with their turbo engines will not do much better, and even if they do, the requirement to fill them with Hi-Octane will offset the little benefit they might have.

Please don't mind but Kia Sportage and Hyndai Tucsan are not SUVs but Crossovers.

SUVs are built for on road as well as off road use (including rugged terrains) whereas you cannot take a Crossover too far away from the road.

Same is the case for fuel average. Don't buy an SUV if fuel average is your priority. Crossover have low displacement engines and much better fuel economy.

Might be a weird suggestion but I personally will suggest you go for a Fortuner base model G it’s a very nice car for the price and does not have that many differences compared to petrol V variant
But you can also get a used Fortuner 2.7 4/4 and that too is not a bad option and certainly better for off-roading

If you are looking for a fully off-road SUV you should not be looking for good fuel economy as they simply won’t ever give you economy
