Which one is better Corolla or Civic

Since you guys are pro. I wanna know every bodies opinion and experiences about corolla or civic. Which one is best?

offcousre civic....civic gives you more power,comfort and style compared to corolla...and yes corolla got resale value better than civic in paki market...and yes there are many upgrades avalible in market for honda civic 94-2004....i mean angel eye headlights,body skirts,interior stuff,,and above all 1.6vtec sohc is always faster than 1.6 dohc toyota engine..my vote goes to civic...correct me if i am wrong..cheerz

dude usman666..civic is far too better then corolla i guess..n this not from now this is from the begining honda acord 1989 modle is beter then corolla 1988 and 1991 modle..then 95 civic is better then corolla 1996 and 1998..then 98 modle civic vti is very gud eingine wise,shape wise, style,comfortable,looks,engine,interiour,exteriour..n yes civic is speacious..then 2003 or 04 modle corolla is like shit..then the civic prosmatic is far far too gud then corolla aint it..so its gud to buy a civic then to waste ur money on the corolla..then only gud thing abt corolla is here in paki land the resale vale of corolla is better then tht of civic..wat do u say dude..??!!

hey pals ! I'm dealing in cars + I also have a thing for cars so let me tell u in detail about every model individually, but first let me say
Corolla "The user defines the car"
Civic "The car defines the user"
What Corolla have & Civic lacks
Resale value, Strong Suspension
What Civic have & Corolla lacks
Comfortable driving, fuel efficency
Corolla 1.3 Indus (not for racing)
XE - a nice car for a middle class person
GL - Wastage of money
Corolla 1.6 Indus
Manual - I myself have beaten the shit out of VTi in a race while driving this babe but this car gets out of control once its 170 km/h while VTi stays in control till 200 km/h (without any engine upgrade)
Automatic - Simply a classic car
2.0D Indus
A great car with & economical too but a no no in karachi cuz it is a hot cake for car snatchers
Corolla 1.3 (new shape)
agan XLi is good but GLi is wastage of money, infect I think even XLi is wastage of money cuz in the same price bracket you can get a City Vario which is fully loaded but Corolla lovers are always there.
Corolla 1.6 (new shape)
both manual & automatic cars are heavy on fuel
Corolla 2.0 (new shape)
this car is very underpowered.

Civic (1994-1995)
1.3 I wont recomend this car cuz its fuel supply is not PGMFi secondly this car has very low ground clearence which is a -ive point on the roads of karachi.
1.5 The problems of 1.3ltr are there but it is good machine interms of racing with other 1.5 ltr cars.
Civic (1996-2000)
Both manual cars (1.5 & 1.6) are good but in the automatic transmission there is a jurk which driver feels everytime he changes the gear which is not a comon thing in a automatic trans car
Civic (2001-to-date)
in this shape the prosmatec thing removed the jurk of changing gear but the 1.6 ltr car (both manual & prosmatec) is very heavy on drive.

This is what I feel about the cars in view of my own experiences, rest is ur own choice.

p.s. a message to "roughider", you compared accord 1989 to corolla 1988. My brother accord is a car one step ahead then corolla & civic thus there is no comparasion among the two, secondly the shape of accord you reffered to is to the date a classic car hey no hard feelings

My vote goes to Honda Civic, by the way Japanese Corolla (year 94 & up) are very rugged and no wonder, they are used as Taxis in Afghanistan (there is no road between major cities and it indeed is an off-road thrill traveling by wheels.

offcourse civic, honda is more like FUN 2 DRIVE. on the other hand corolla is economical.

Hmm corolla may be nice, ABS with EBD, Add VTEC, Intelligent PROSMATEC, Out class stereo already fitted with cd changer, 15' rims on, as comapred to 14" on corrolla, tinted glasses, front screen mist remover inadditon to front and rear defogger and tilt and open sun roof, crush zones. Front armrest. I think civic is best in value for money with respect to performance and consumption

Yes guyz, civic is better in looks, drive, economy, luxury and much more compared to a corolla but still I will but a corolla especially the 93-2000 version. The reason, if I hit a civic, I will go bankrupt but if I hit a corolla, it will be repaired at a cost 10 times less than the civic. Corolla is a carefree car. Very tough, very reliable. The proof, you can convert a corolla to diesel from patrol but try putting a diesel engine in a civic, it just cannot bear any hard stuff. Civic is surely a superior car than corolla, but remember, when you are comparing a civic with a corlla, 95 model and above, compare with a 1.6 litre version not the 1.3 litre.

The Corolla & Civic were both 1996 model cars, Civic was being driven by another friend of mine (so I know the other driver was not a dumb). We just checked the cars to compare among the two & ofcourse it happened way back in 1996 when ofcourse the VTi model was introduced.Corolla took the lead with the pickup, though the race was a bumper to bumper one but the Civic couldnt get a change to beat Corolla. Even now if you can get your hands on a 1.6Gli (in exceptionally good condition) then you can check yourself

Dude I am from ISLOO and desperately looking for a 2.0D (plain or Limited) but old shape preferably 2001 model with crystal lights. Know any 1 who may wanna sell. Also it shuld be very low mileage car.

Civic Civic civic. Man its just a emotional euphoria u ppl r talkin that is it. I have both corolaa and civic civic do wonders when it comes to engine and truest me there are many surprises in the engine and drivetrain if u push it hard specially the boost after 4000 rpm. Well as for coroola my friend if u need suspension corola should be the choice it has hard smack rigid piece of suspension and thats where civic uis week. Suspension holds the car in cornering, high speed manuverability and not to forget comfort but yes corola is week in engine. But if u ppl just wana stick to grag races civic maybe up for it otherwise for real races u need suspension baby !!!1

regarding pickup/speed : 96-2001 gli is bit faster than 96-2001 vti, body weight makes the difference , as both have powerful 1600 cc engines with different description. it just depends on the driving skills specially gear shiftings.

I respect your observation but what I wrote in the forum was only my own experience & nothing else, secondly the driver does matters in "ANY" race.

Sorry brother I dont have any low milage car but I do have a 2.0D limited 1999-2000 in white color. Both sides are touch up & final Price is Rs.725,000/-
Secondly if you are in Islamabad then I'll suggest you to get a car from there as if you get a car from Karachi then a Karachi number car will give you problem when you'll go for resale as there people there dont like to buy Karachi regd car.
