what is the Difference between engine G13B and G13A? which is the best for fuel milage in Cultus?
G13B or G13BB?
its type pf suzuki 1.3 engine
G13A is a 8 valve carby engine, came in margalla. While G13bb is what you see in baleno, it is a 16v efi engine. G13bb is better in all means. Where as G13b is DOHC performance engine.
G13B came in swift gti mk3 which powerful engine compare to any other and I would say a killer engine for cultus. On other hand g13bb which came in baleone is not good engone at all. Now comes to fuel efficiency GTI G13b gives good economy. If we talk about price and availability which is not easily available which cost around 75 to 125k. Biggest Issue with this engine and g16b are spare parts which is not easily available. If I would have money I would have swapped GTI G13b. G16B is also expensive a good engine is not less than 1325k to 135k. If you to swap a engine and want power and peace of mind then Consult some mechanics who do swaps and try to get g15a engine which came in suzuki APV it's spare are available and this Engine has no major issue and has good amount of power according to cultua body. I think produces 91HP. I would say this is hazzle free swap considering it as future.
which engine is best in aspects of fuel economy, i brought a cultus 2014 model, month after buying i came to know that engine is changed and its water dropping G13B engine, (Identical to orignal cultus engine thats why i was unable to recognize at the time of buying) what was engraved on the body of engine. so i had to adopt the car as it is. i want to know does it makes any difference in fuel consumption as compare to orignal G10 engine of cultus.its gives me 15-16km/L in city without ACand 12-12.5 in city without AC. I m bit Confused please help.

It should definitely give you a better average. My G13B in Baleno easily gives 13KM/L in city.
but its not giving me good fuel average 12km in city without AC is not good. 15km on highway without AC. what should i do.considering the light weight of cultus as compare to Baleenothe should be more than 13km/l in city
It's G13BBFirst you need to confirm that ecu is swapped with the engine or not. Here desi mechanics never swap the Electronics they just change the head assembly with either bigger or smaller displacement engine. It need G13bb ecu to give you mileage and performance like g13 should.
thank you for being so helpful, sir how to know that my ecu is changed or not with G13B engine? is there any way to know that?
no problem.take a picture of your ecu and share.
No brother, i checked ECU (Computer) is not changed, what should i do now? today i visited mechanic he decreased the fuel injection to 0, before that it was 20.that is the cost of G13b ecu?
How he decreased the fuel?No idea about the cost, but you have to install g13bb baleno ecu.
G13B ECU should be around 7-8K
he did some fuel injector settings, with some sort of light flashing gun. anyhow the pick of car is decreased after doing so..tomorrow i will buy the ECU of G13bb engine.
He adjusted the distributor. With a timing gun by it flashing on the crank pulley.
before that it was at 20, he reduced it to 0. is that really decreases the fuel consumption?
and what should be the ideal timing of suzuki cultus G13bb for good fuel consumption , (engine condition is good)
You need to install g13 ecu that's for sure and distributor g13 ecuIt depends upon where engine timing is set at then you adjust distributor with timing light. Usually engine timing is set in advance.
