Ex & EXi are gradings. The 'i' usually stands for 'injection' as in fuel injection or sometimes it stands for intelligent. Here the EX grading was used till the Civic 95 and was in context to the level of accessories availble for that model. The EXi in a Civic 96 was a continuation with fuel injection. Other gradings availble with 95 & 96 onwards Civic were EL & Vti. Hope this helps.

hummm it helpd mi alot 2 yar thanx i though it wz just a name thanx bro

From where these two abrevatives have been drived? I mean, like VVTi "Veriable Valve Timing/Transmission intellegent". EX & EXi are abrevate of what?. May be Exclusive?

These are usually "trim levels" and are not similar for different makes. The VTi sold here in Asia is labelled as the GLi in Australia and LX in the US/Can. "X" usually (not always) denotes a base trim such as X,DX, LX, .EX, DLX(Deluxe) usually denotes a base model with minor accessories, like power windows, velour and such. GL (Grand Luxury) SE (Super Executive) come chok-a-block with everything on offer, and then some for a particular model. In Addition to GL, We have GT (Grand Touring/Gran Turismo in Italian) which is actually a proper vehicle classifcation.

hello
player as u ask that VVT-i has abverviation whereas ex and Exi are of what...so VVT-i(Variable Valve Timing-Intelligent) was the engine tech used by toyota like Honda's VTEC-III (Variable valve timing and lift electronic control-Intelligent DOHC)..
so Ex and Exi was like GL or Gli...so different company used different...ex means the base model of starting wheras the exi was equipped with either some power features or Fuel Injection system.....its used here by honda....
Thanxx
