Water pressure pump for shower and geyser recommendation required

Hi,
I need to install a geyser for one bath only in first floor. water flow is not that good. Currently i have two options,

install regular tank water geyser, or
install instant gas geyser with a small water pump.

which is a better choice? what should be capacity of geyser in either choice? also which pressure pump is good for installation, i found one Chinese made for 6500, it had three speed settings but no mention of pressure and no warranty.. what should be minimum pressure output required for both safe and satisfactory operation?

For just one bathroom, an instant gas geyser is recommended. But it needs good gas pressure to work properly. If you have problems with gas pressure, then it might not work in peak winter. Another good option is an electric tankless heater. It works like an instant gas heater , but instead of gas it uses a heating element to heat the water. Since it is tankless, it only turns on when you are using hot water. Thus it won't consume much electricity.

I don't understand why you need a pressure pump. Pressure pump is needed when you have too many taps open at once and you want to maintain consistent pressure or when you have large shower heads.

Nope, pressure pumps are needed because, as most homes, a tank on the roof supplies no where near enough pressure.

I personally use an electric one, 8.5KW on highest mode, but high mode is not bearable it is burning hot, so we use it on ~6KW which is still very hot (how I'm used to showering in england). It works just about with the large water pump running, but the large water pump is on auto so it switches off, which is no good if you are still stuck in the shower. I got a small pump fitted for around 3500 which has an auto switch too (it switches off when the taps are off which is very handy, otherwise you would have to run to turn it on every time u need it!) we also use this with a longer pipe that is attached to the sink for normal use of warm water (washing face and performing ablution).

It will not work without pressure, the water heater simply cannot build up a consistent reservoir of hot water to supply onwards with low pressure inputs.

I don't know about you but I never felt the need for a pressure pump, the water pressure on the first floor in my home is just fine, unless of course you have very large shower heads.

Its fine for normal use, the pressure is more than enough whilst showering or using the sink. However, as soon as the water goes thru the electric water heater, it comes out very, very slowly from the other end. Therein lies the problem.

I'm not in Pakistan atm otherwise i would have checked the pressure rating on the pump, it supplies a tremendous pressure for what it is and the price i got it for. 6500 for a 'chuwa pump' is outrageous.

the height between shower head and tank is barely 1m which with even a small shower head leaves much to be desired.. I've decided to install a regular tank geyser to help with that, and later install pump if i still feel the need.

so which brands are good for regular geysers, low cost ones start from ~10K for 20gallon tank.. there was this company named kmb or ksg or somthing, they were very expensive, one guy was selling their refurbished geysers 30gallon tank for 14k with new parts, is it better to buy refurbished or lower quality new ones.. i heard cheap ones tank gets leaks if used with pump?

How long a geyser lasts depends on the quality of its tank. Tanks are typically made with galvanized iron sheets. A tank made with thicker sheet will last much longer, so while buying you should ask the dealer what is the thickness of the tank sheet. If you want something that lasts a lifetime then you could get a custom tank made out of stainless steel. But that might not be very cost effective.

I have my geyser installed on the first floor of the house, which works fine for the first floor, but the hot water pressure on the 2nd floor of the house where i have one washroom, and laundry room, hot water it not coming. i have checked the pipes and hot water have to travel upwards nearly 22 ft. before going into tapes. What is the recommended solution for it. Should i install a separate geyser for the 2nd floor or is there some pressure pump which can supply water to these washroom. Experts advice is needed.
