Wash and Wax from Formula1 for my car

Hi All,

I have purchased this new stuff for my car body care and want it to share with you.

1. Formula 1 Carnauba Car Wax Rs: 375
2. Formula 1 Carnauba Wash & Wax Rs: 255
3. AJAX Cleaner Window Rs: 175

I think the products are genuine as I have purchased them from a famous store.

if u want to take real care of car then come out of formula thingiezz nd shift to atleast turtle wax..!!

thank you for the suggestion! I was looking for meguiars or mothers products, but now a days I am in Faisalabad and this is the only brand I could search from stores here. Metro people did not let me in as I had not card :d

i use turtle wax n not satisfied , applied it last week n spend more than 3 hours on my car n the shine vanished in few days

Its not hard to get into metro , just say you want a temporary card and then just write the name of some fake business and your good to go inside for once.

@afnan: you might be using fake one, otherwise turtle is good brand. Just think in which country you are living

Car shampoo is to wash the car and wax is used to protect paint from dust etc. you may dig this forum for more details.

have been using turtle, 3M and meguiars and a lot more..original turtle is much better than the local crap, as it isnt original

try importing meguiars, nothing like it..not even 3M

mothers is nice too and is easily available

Go for mothers, sonax or turtle wax....each do the job well....u need to maintain your car shine by regular wash once wax is done...else no wax stays on for long.

Can you please advise which shops Mothers wax can be found (in Lahore if not karachi), and which one is best to buy, I'm going to try it for the first time..

Sirs P21S and Wolfgang deep shine are one of the best waxes around, very hard to find, available at some selected shop at plaza, that too occasionally, nearly for 3,000 Rs.

These F1 and Turtle are also very good for money as long as they have applied correctly, best with a machine polisher.

Mother's is easily available on Montgomery Road Lahore, dont remember the name of the shop exactly, go to the end of the road where there is also a chota sa resturant or a milk shop, usi plaza mein shop hei.
The best buy depends on your need, there are pure waxes and then there are polishing waxes( carnauba cleaner in mother's terms ).
polishing waxes are only to be used rarely, you should buy the simple pure carnauba wax, it would do the trick

Sir, you are from Karachi.. Please suggest me some mid range products available here.. Not as expensive as P21S and Wolfgang and more importantly where can I shop for these. Have you happened to use Turtle's ICE Wax? I've heard its very good.

Also, tell me about a product to remove swirls.. Appreciate the help.

yes this is the carnauba wax by mothers

im not sure about the market rate at the moment, but it would be somewhere from 1200-1700 rupees, worth every penny though!

if you have any contacts abroad, try to import Meguiar's Gold Class or NXt Generation..i am using it currently, and trust me, it works wonders..especially on black coloured cars!

@Bad_Cheetah: Nice collection you have, I personally like meguiars wax and I will import it soon. I purchased these items from Al-Fatah store Faisalabad which is good store and I believe these are genuine

A single wax can either be good at protection or looks but not both. There may be chemical reasons behind this but the primary reason is that wax manufacturers have to sell and have vast product lines. Carnauba waxes are generally best at protection and provide the least amount of glossy look which people are after. Synthetic waxes are slightly behind carnauba waxes when it comes to protection but are easy to apply and last a bit longer.

The best way to wax your car is to apply synthetic wax. Let it cure for 12-24 hours. Then apply carnauba wax for added protection and color depth. Then again let it cure for 12-24 hours. Then you can apply high gloss top coats for the wet look. This will ensure your looks like new for at least 2 weeks.
