Want to use wifi on PTCL WIFI Modem

I have PTCL wifi modem and using wifi also. now i want to share my line wid my neighbor. He want dsl line and also want to use wifi. Ptcl wifi signal doesnt each in his house. so i want to ask, if i share my connection den how can he use wifi on that dsl line. is there any possibility. there 150 to 200ft distance .

PTCL BB WIFI>>>>>>>sharing line wid his computer>>>>>he wants to use wifi also on same sharing line at his house .

Any Solution ?????

simple... give one connection LAN to him.. now he connect this LAN wire in his Wifi Router..

^exactly, go to any store and ask them for cat 5 lan cable, buy the required length, connect on end to ur router and the other to his pc, but try to keep it hidden, ptcl can sue u for sharing ur internet,

or u can get him a usb wifi adapter and can add usb extension cable till the spot where it starts picking good signal strength, the advantage of this is that no wires going to ur home can be seen so no one can suspect u, the only thing thats difficult with this is that you will need to keep the device in a water proof casing and will need to cover the joints in the usb extension cable with insulation tape

PTCL gives a Limited data... I think no restriction of sharing

You cant share dsl line it servers only to the one modem at a time, except giving connection from LAN interface....

There is no restriction from ptcl for sharing, They put limit on data and they have no concern whether user has single pc or a dozen.

The PPPOE protocol cant restrict you for sharing.

no restriction every one in my area has done it but not me im a speed freak and not using ptcl
u say 100-120 distance come i show u 500ft distance between router and pc

bro if all those computers belong to you then its allowed, if you share with another person/house it will be considered commercial activity, the might launch a case that you are further distributing ptcl's service to make profits,

they even sued a guy last week just on the suspicion that he was distributing the internet service within the neighborhood, they were suspicious because he downloaded 300gb worth of torrent data

one of the cable net wala using PTCL 4 MB DSL ... I ask him that is legal?? he told me that if PTCL has any objection then cut my connection and it is not a crime because no constitution is here for this type of crime

[I]Bro, its not working. I have PTCL BB WIFI modem. and Tp link router. i tried to used but when i enter 192.168.1.1 ts shows me my ptcl bb wifi router page, it doesnt show me tp link router page.

Attach ptcl wifi modem lan 1 cable into wan port of tp link router, and den insert one more lan cable from tplink lan 1 and other connector inside into computer, net works,
Also tried ptcl bb wifi lan 1 cable into laptop , both side net works, and detect and show only ptcl bb wifi.

Both modem ptcl bb wifi and tplink router lan ports works but couldn't configure wifi of tp link

problem is , it doesnt show me tplink page when i enter 192.168.1.1

want to use wifi at my home ptcl bb wifi and share line to my neighbor. he also wants to use wifi. so how i can configure tplink at his home . so he can use both lan and wifi cable through tp link router [/I]

Connect your pc/laptop to the Tplink using lan interface try 192.168.1.1. If problem persist refer its hand book to figure out ip address of TPLINK it may be 192.168.1.2.

yar I have one Router BlackHammar I think ... Although I Also have PTCL wifi but If I need more Strong signle , I am using it.. without any cofigration.. my elder brother Configure it only one time by his office guy.. Try to resolve this problem by getting guide from user Manual

Follow these steps

1-Turn off ptcl modem and remove cable from Ethernet port of pc.

2-Assign static ip address to your PC/Laptop 192.168.1.100

2-Connect TPLINK direct to your pc/laptop via LAN interface to Ethernet port.

3-Turn on your TPLINK

4-Enter this address 192.168.1.254 to access the TPLINK

5-Enter user name password to configure it.

my two cents are to get one of these

and usb extension cable, place this device in a water proof environment, for example a bottle and place this at any place where the signal strength is decent, if this device starts catching signals you wont need to do anything but to enter the wifi password and start browsing,

this device costs around 700 and the cable costs around 70rs per piece.
