Vitz car gearbox problem upon shifting gears

Hi All,

I am having Vitz 2007 model registered in 2012 (1000 CC). My car gives a jerk after switching gear from P to R (reverse) or from R (reverse) to D (drive) and vice versa. Someone suggested a CVT Gear mechanic and he checked it and told me that there is a slight jerk in shifting the gear so there could be a problem in CVT or seal or something and he can tell the original problem after opening the gearbox and labor charges would be Rs. 3500/= and it will take a whole day to repair it.
I would like to go for a 2nd opinion and please recommend me a good mechanic for CVT transmission in Lahore area.

Change cvt oil if you haven’t changed it yet, 55000kms or 2 years is the time for change.
Get service of brakes as well. If cvt doesn’t gives you any issue while driving than its working fine.

You can go to my mechanic at muhammad saeeds traders johar town. I’m mantaining my corolla altis 1.8 cvti from him.

Thanks for the reply, I recently change the CVT oil 9 or 10 months back. I'll try to get my brakes serviced so in the mean while could you please give me the full contact detail of your mechanic Muhammad Saeed traders?

Thanks for the reply, I had some car vibration problem due to some electric wiring and fuel injector issues and after fixing those my car is smooth and its not giving any jerks now.

Mare car vitz 1999 model hai aam tor par chalne main koi issue ni lakin jab rush ma 10 -15 min chale to har gear jerk (jhatka) k 7 shift hota hai phr car engine off kr k On krne sa normal ho jati hai

bro i have charade car with vitz 1000 cc auto engine..same problem u shared i m facing..i change computer also but problem is not solved..plz tell me if u find some solution
