Hey guys we have a honda grace. It is an excellent car but now we are thinking of selling it. I am pursuing my father buy a used LCI 2007 bmw 530d. But my father is reluctant to but it. He says ye gariyan khatam hoti hain in mai bohat si problems hoti maintenance bohat zyada hai etc. Is he telling the truth or not. I mean for 30 lacs on outside they look good with nice luxury spacious interior. Our average maintenance cost of grace is around 15k including oil change spark plugs cleaning filters replacement etc. We live in peshawar so everytime for maintenance we have to Islamabad. Anyone had a experience with a bmw
These bmws won't be nearly as cheap to maintain and the labor you will incur are atleast 3 times more expensive a there are limited choices for mechanics. The fuel economy won't be nearly as good as these are luxury cars and not meant to save you money. In Pakistan atleast for me these cars are not worth daily driving. Plus they will also be driven alot. It's already 11 years old God knows what will go wrong. Parts will also be alot more expensive.
Well, Younger Brother your father is right. I own a 2006 730 and its very expensive to maintain. These cars needs an oil change once in a year, the issue in these cars are not the cost of engine oil or spark plugs. But the electronic stuff. There are sensors and modules installed from lighting to stero playing and each sensor costs 80 to 110 k and are imported from dubai. Apart from these things there are other issues as well and the bills you will pay will be in 2 to 4 lacs. So i wont suggest you to buy it. What i have judged you are a youngster. If you really like luxary sedans so buy a Mark X or toyota crown. They are very cheap to maintain and very reliable. Just dont scratch them. Rest you are from Peshawar, and Peshwaris are Toyotas die hard Fans.

Bmw, Mercedes or any other luxury vehicle own karna, and then maintained rakhna, hathi paalnay k brabar Hai... Banda ley to ley, sastay daam hi sai... But paalay Kahan sey? Same is true for these luxury vehicles...Aap 25-30 lac mein bmw ley to lein gey... May be preventive / periodic maintenance b aap afford Kar lein... And it would definitely be expensive in comparison to Honda / Corolla... But agar miscellaneous issues aa jyein, then unka Kya Karein gey? Those can be a big headache...Yahan agar local market ho, and parts available b Hoon... Khwaa mehangay daam hi sai... Banda phir b ley ley...But agar parts locally available hi na Hoon... And you need to import even the smallest part from other country... Then cost bohat zyada barh jati Hai... Aur tension elaihda...
Maintenance hum kar lain gay mechanical point of view say in garyion ki kya halat hoti hai. I mean engine aur transmission fine hoti hai ya nahi
So what will be the average monthly bill aur 8-10 years old cars ki engine aur transmission ky kya halat hoty hain. Another thing is service histroy kya iski ki koi value hoti hai
BTW almost every car we boight sometimes we have to import parts.
Go for Mercedes C180 2008. Merc is cheaper to maintain as compared to BMW.
bmw would be expensive to maintain...buy a new honda civic in that range...it is the best car in that range...try to test drive the new civic...you will be pleasantly surprised...
Bhai, pw members have already explained u cons of owning an eleven years old luxury sedans if u r comfortable with it then go for it...rest the condition which u r asking again my friend varies car to car...no one can predict what condition an eleven year old car has until u select a particular car and inspect it but one thing is for sure that this old sedan will bring up some maintenance works time to time. A verdict from my side will be to prefer a newer model of a car in your range rather then this old model.
Clearly my friend you have absolutely no idea about cars especially if you're saying that statement which I've quoted. And I'm guessing you have no idea about BMW's or how they're even meant to be maintained lol.
Don't waste your father's money on your self desires - especially when you're clueless.
I was recently planning to buy a used Mercedes or BMW in the 3 million range but dropped the idea. WHY? Because these cars are not meant for the average Joe. My friend owns a 523i 2004 model and one of the best BMWs in Islamabad, he was showing me the maintenance bills in the past 5 years and they were amounting to almost the price of a Toyota Aqua.
Don't want to buy Pakistani junk. I have driven the new turbo no doubt acceleration is good but the rest of the thing is junk
If we bought it this will be our first german car. One thing i know is you take these cars to the dealer they do what is required and at the end they give you the bill
Again what will be the average monthly bill excluding the big electrical problems. I know those sensors cost a lot of money but these expensive maintenance have also sometimes occured with us
how can you say that is junk...everything from engine refinement to comfort to drive is top class....the car is literally a flying carpet...a real joy to drive...yes assembling toh pakistani hai toh flaws to hon gay but the rest f the car is a real amazing car...
1 the interior is inferior to Japanese cars. 2 way less features then Japanese cars. 3 seats are not comfortable
chalain woh aap ki marzi hai....but civic for me is car jiss mai aap aik baar bathain toh kisee auur garee mai aap kaa bathainay ko dil nahee chahtaa...drive wise...woh wakaee itnee achee garee hai...
As far as i have seen Bmw’s Mercedes and Range rovers are always standing at the workshops for work. But a brand new or atleast 2015 model plus if you can afford. otherwise an older model will stay in workshop rather than in your use.
