Urgently please help Alpine CDE 133bt vs Pioneer DEH 6400

HI Everyone,

I have a problem. I wanted to choose between these two Bluetooth head units and cannot decide which one is better. I have alpine speakers and solid audio amp of 600 watts. I know very old. But the speakers are new.
I have a pioneer head unit currently . I like it as it has a lot of bass which I enjoy. So much so that I have unhooked my sub.

The alpine head unit I tested sounded very clear but at high volume the bass is not the same as my old pioneer.

The new pioneer head unit has more options: Such as controlling sub, USB in dashboard instead of front facing and more colours.
I am only mostly concerned about sound. Which head unit is better from the two models I mentioned in the heading. The 133 or the DEH 8450 please any advice will be appreciated. Humble thanks

AOA bro pioneer 6400 is a realy old player and it was in my college frined EE90 in 2000 alpine is a 2012 model but i dont know where is it available in karachi and what price i once saw the sony a50bt media player at tariq raod for 10000 i think it was a good model.

Sorry I got the model numbers mixed up. WHat I was trying to say was the Pioneer DEH 8450 BT or the ALPINE CDE 133 BT.

My current setup is Alpine SPS 600 speakers four of them. And Solid Audio amp . Cervin vega sub.

My old head unit was a pioneer. Had good bass and was very powerful. I liked the sound. Had some distortion though.
The Alpines I have heard sound very clear but do not have the bass and the speakers tend to give a bursting sound at high volumes. At high end decibels very little bass.

SO I am confused which head unit is better. Which do you people recommend. I know there are alot of experts here with good knowledge.

I know a shop that sells both models but just have to choose. One I think is 17500 the other 16900

brother go to majeed electronics at saddar at ask waheed bhai for jvc r926 or kenwood 8016bt they are the best cd player in market whith much lower price and better than both alpine and pioneer if u listen to them and pioneer is better than alpine

why pioneer brother. I have heard that Alpine of old their quality was going down but these new 2012 models the quality has gone back up. And that the new pioneers have alot of bass which I like but that there is not much clarity.

brother kenwood x8016 is best believe me once you listen to it alpine is entry level stuff and pioneer is better than alpine but they both are way overpriced. kenwood is top stuff.

Hello brother. I heard the kenwood model you are saying 8016 and I am sorry but I thought it was not good compared to Alpine 2o12 series.

My reasons:

The Alpine cde 133 bt sounded very clear.
It enhanced the sound of my speakers sub and the amplifier in the car.
It sounded very clean and clear with body as well.

The kenwood was crap in comparison.
Kenwood voice sounded too clear with too much treble. Unnatural.
It also heated up after 20 minutes testing.
I have heard from others as well that kenwood equipment has reliability issues and gets bad soon.

Maybe you have not heard the 2012 head unit series from alpine but I suggest you do. NO comparison. I also tested the pioneer 8450 but sounded too much bass with not enough clarity. I still have not decided but tested all three. Plus the kenwood price was ab it high.

Bro its good that u like alpine also have a test for the alpine 9886 i heard it once it was the best alpine available then but pricey for my budget it was 18800 but i am sure it was better than all alpine and u will like it

brother if you agree with me that Alpine is the best why did you recommend me kenwood and the 8016bt?

There is no comparison between kenwood and alpine sound and that 8016model is about 2 years old.

the 9886 is a good recommendation but the problem is it does not have bluetooth but on this you are right it was one of alpines best.

Dear I still believe that kenwood x8016 is better because I compared with alpine 9857 2 years ago which was the very expensive alpine in market that time and both sounded comparable you may like alpine 133 because your running alpine speakers which will sound better in alpine player alpine 9886 also has a bluetooth accessory but cost 6000 in market which enable bluettooth I also have alpine 121E and it is sound sxact same as CD133 the pioneer 8450BT and Kenwood are better but if you like the default setting of Alpine its food for you.

brother. Dont you think that kenwood is much harder to use than the alpines? I have heard it is much harder. I understand you may like the kenwood sound and you think it is very good. What is the difference in kenwood sound? ANd what is alpine sound?

After tweaking the alpine and the amp in my trunk the shopkeeper made the alpine sound amazing. the bass is coming out good now and the clarity is not hurting my ears. I tried the pioneer 8450 in my car and honestly it was not clear at all. The sound was too rough. In face the pioneer 4050 ub i had in my car had a better sound than the 8450 bt pioneer.

Now I see that the kenwood x996 is coming out and the alpine 138bt. Do you think the sound quality of both will be much better than the 133? I am thinking of buying either the 138 or the 996 when they come to pakistan. What do you think

Brother What do you define as the KENWOOD SOUND? DEFINE that please.

X8016 KENWOOD is not the X996 but it is the X994 . Bro you are wrong there. I can buy the 138bt or the new x996 if it will dramatically improve the sound. I am tired of pioneer and sony. WHat do you suggest?

ALSO WHAT do you think of Alpine type R speakers? Where are they available in karachi and for how much?

Lastly can you give me some number or names of some shops in karachi that sell genuine audio systems. For ten years I have been buying from Alpine clifton or haroon radio. ANY OTHERS?

Bro fusion nv compnents and powerplant 6 X 9 speakers are best you will forget alpine speakers its better to spend money on good speakers majeed electronics at tariq road and star electronics at saddar also have some alpine and there will be no sound difference in x996 or x8016 or even x7016 and they will both better the alpine 138bt get a old pioneer 8650 or 8850 with a bluetooth module and it will be twice better than any alpine even future alpine of 2013 that i guarantee unless you have the 9886 focal speakers are best but expensive haroon at boat bason have them.
