I have seen people putting on winter tyres with pride and extra price without knowing the hazards of using them in Pakistani climate. Maybe he was also one of those innocent buyers.
I stopped using bridgestone because it carries the highest probability that u will get a 2 number as it is called here. Reason is high sales volume which gives incentive to fraud people to come up with forged tyres.
Better buy a good brand with International repute which has low sales in Pakistan 
Good Year and Pirelli are safe bets these days. Even Michelin has taken the brunt of Pakistani Talent.
A friend bought a Michelin certis for his rolla paying 400 Rs. extra per tyre then average and found them to be retread ones after few months when the side wall glue started to give way.
In Pakistan, its a sad reality and one has to find own ways to get information about such things.
