After months of planning, I finally managed to convince my friends for a trip to Makran Coastal Highway. Their apprehensions were only natural. Most of them, including me, were worried about the security situation but after some research and gurantees from a few locals, we finally made the move.
Saying that it was a wonderful trip would be an understatement. The landscape was simply mind blowing and the Kund Malir beach was as beautiful a place as I have seen. Makran coastal highway is a truly remarkable place for any adventurous soul.
Alhamdulillah every thing went well and there were absolutely no security issues (although we were advised not to go beyond Ormara for now).
Here are a few pics.
interesting
plz carry on..........
If you're planning a day trip (which I would recommend) the ideal time would be to leave Karachi before dawn. Its always better to travel in your own cars than hiring a van. Check your tires, fuel etc. before you start your trip.
We kicked off at 4:30 from Karachi5: 30AM Namaz Break at Hub10: 00AM Kund Malir Beach+Rock Formations+Princess of Hope3: 00 PM The return journey8: 00PM Back home
We did face a few problems mainly because of the fact that it was our first trip to that place. We hired a van that gave us plenty of problems. Our tires got busted twice. Thankfully we had the spares ready.
Here's an article I wrote about the trip to Makran Coastal Highway and Kund Malir on the Express Tribune Blog.
