I have toyota vitz 2013 (1KR-FE engine) 170000 km driven. Maintaining car at soyota eastern since last two years. Six months ago check engine light appeared after getting it serviced from there. I sent my car back for dignose. After inspecting they told me that the downstream O2 sensor is not working so i went to a local electrician at jamshed Rd to get a second opinion, he said the same so I replaced O2 downstream sensor. Then I went to toyata eastern again for diagnosis because check engine light was still on. This time they said that "why did you replaced sensor it was ok now it says that your upstream sensor is not working. I replaced that too but it didnt worked for me too. I also used liqui moly catalytic converter cleaner. I have been resetting the ECU using obd II scanner but noticed that the light appear back around every 50 km. I went to toyota eastern third time for diagnosis this time they said that your engine rings are getting weak. I came to a conclusion that they didn't diagnosed properly or they don't know how to. They replace O2 sensors on false diagnosis.

Replaced O2 sensors (up stream and downstream both) Cleaned catalytic converter no leakage. Complete EFI cleaning done and spark plugs were replaced with the new ones. Engine is quiet and smooth but a little bit vibration when it's on idle.

Any suggestions what to do and do anyone know a good workshop for proper inspection as solution for the said error code?

Is it really 170,000 kms driven? If yes than they might be right about rings and pistons. Else I might suggest you take out the catalyst converter, have it cleaned and installed back.

No. I did not feel any unusual behavior. Drive is very smooth.

Wiring of sensors are ik. But not sure about cat converter. I update you guys in half n hour since on diagnosis.

Most probably your cat con is chocked. Have it cleaned NOT BROKEN. And than check it by driving. Is the ECO light working when you drive on light foot? I doubt that even the car won't be revving as it should be.

If I reset ECU of my car then ECO light work with light press accelerator paal. But if the check engine light is on ECO light disappears.

Serviced catalytic converter throughout and check engine light came up just after driving 56 km again!
Today going to change catalytic converter. And this time mechanic said to me that he is replacing catalytic coverter free of cost if it worked for me than i'll have to bare the cost.
But still I think nobody knows what's actual problem. They are just experimenting.

Been there done that.

I had similar issues with my 2007 car.

My mechanic keep telling me it's a wirring fault and kept on spending money.
In the end I gave my car to him and he sorted it out.

The car kept giving a new error everyday.

Started from exhaust flow sensor, tps sensor, oxygen sensors , what not.

The only problem I was facing was that my car was dying on idle.

But it cleared after a lot of this and that.

In the end it was the mechanic who got it fixed not sure what did he do. He just told me it was some wiring problem that is why it kept giving new problems
