AOA Everyone.
I recently purchased Toyota Alpha 2014 (7 seater) model from a relative. The Odo-meter reads about 180K Km s, we imported the car ourselves, so I'm pretty sure about original mileage. Anyways, once I purchased the car, I changed spark plugs, transmission fluid, engine oil, oil filter, air filter and AC filter. The coolant for radiator is still within decent limit. Also got new Michelin tyres 215/65/16 and drive with 31 front and 30 PSI rear wheel air pressure. ( mentioned in the car door along with wheelbase information)

Now with regular fuel I’m getting 14km/L, which is low average given my experience with 3rd Gen and 2nd Gen Prius. I was hitting 20+ with my 3rd Gen 1.8 Prius. I asked mechanic and he said that drive few tanks of High Octane and the average will start to improve. I did that, and on High Octane the average (Highway + city), I am getting is around 16.5Km/L or something. I usually drive in city and over the weekend I go to my hometown Okara from Lahore.

What else I should look for to improve mileage ?

Check the condition of the batteries first. Since you are a prius user, you should be able to tell if its charging or discharging properly or way to quickly

Oem average of alpha is 17kml anything above 13 is acceptable being a hybrid. Minus 4kml due to the size n aerodynamics. Source: kept one.

Oh, that's going to hurt my pocket. Thank you for the information.

dial up 0321 4106898 Obama car care centre Tipu Block Garden town for appointment and request for diagnostics I believe fuel filter in the fuel tank is culprit causing fuel weeping from fuel rail.

Update: Fortnight back I went to Islamabad and before going to Islamabad I visited my mechanic and informed him about the fuel consumptions. He cleaned the Throttle again and applied grease in some portion of the throttle. I filled the tank up from Bhera with RON97 and on way back with RON 92 and I was able to get 17KM/L mileage with 120KM/H speed. The average remained same. On my recent trip back home I filled it up with RON 92 from a PSO station and I got around 20KM/L and that hack seemed to be working now as I'm getting around 17-18KM/L within Lahore for my daily commute.

Use number 1 plugs and clean catalytic as well for better fuel average.2nd in summer where temperature
are above 39 Celsius, the average will be low.
