Toyota Prius 3rd Gen Engine oil

Hello Pak wheelers, I have concern about prius 2011 1.8 Engieen oil. My car is driving 1lac+ and I have added havoline 0w20 engine oil this month. But my car is making now alot of noise and vibration and the oil is reduced daily. Please someone suggest me good engine oil. Thanks

OK but one last Question is 10w40 is really good for prius in cold weather because someone suggest me 5w30 before..

Brother if this grade is not suting, then gradually upgrade, instead of abrupt jumping. I would propose following:

1. 5w-30: Total Quartz 9000 Future Series (best value for money), Kixx or PSO
2. 5w-40: Fully Synthetic engine oil by Shell, Kixx or Caltex
3. 5w-50: Fully synthetic engine oil by Kixx

10w grade must be the very last option, and in 10w-40, ZIC means best value for money to me.

If still the issue does not get resolved, and there is engine oil consumption, then your vehicle's engine is done. Adding more and more thick oils will only hide the actual problem, but not resolve it. Ultimate solution will be rebuild / overhaul, or swap.

Mobil1 5w30 is another good oil for your car.

First try 5w-30 for next oil change if issue occurs, then shift to 5w-40 on another coming oil change still if you are not satisfied the put 10w-40 on last 3rd oil change.
Hopefully by using 5w-30 problem will be solved.

@pwuser151920957368 don't jump to 10W40. Also check if oil is leaking from any seals. Like valve cover seal or the front main seal... both are easy to inspect... Also any smoke in cold start?

100000 km is nothing. How can people here say it's an high mileage car?

Toyota has launched 5w30 today. Use that and get oil from dealership.

5w 30 is the answer. Clean egr valve and its pipe.
