Toyota grande headlight beams not matched

2018 grande headlight beam on right side is a bit downward compared to left side one. This is resulting in a dark corner on right side top corner on the road. Is this normal or should I get it checked? Is there any manual adjustment of headlight heights before auto levelling kicks in?

It is normal. The difference is there so that light doesn’t blind incoming traffic from the other (right) side of the road, while keeping the left field of view well lit.

Are the headlights aligned equal when you park infront of a wall 10 or 15 ft away? Make sure both are equal height, if not then they need adjustment.

The low beam headlights on a right hand drive car will flick up towards left to light up road signs, similarly left hand drive cars flick the lights up on the right.

There is no setting to dial out this flick up.

This dark spot is due to the light beam coming from projector hitting at drl strip. If you will adjust it, it will go away. Make sure both cutoffs are aligned together for a better output.

Thank you to all brothers for input. Right side headlight needed some manual adjustment to bring it level.

there is an unwritten tip for headlight adjustment which is.

never leave the last setting as you were unscrewing the adjuster screw, As the car runs on the road and vibrates the headlamp etc, the screw can very slowly unscrew, This is why its recommended to always end the adjustment with a slight tension clockwise on the screw.

There is another unwritten tip for headlamps of all cars in the world, their mounting bolts need to be threadlocked to the body (medium threadlock) so they dont vibrate loose. The loosening happens as these are on the very edge of the vehicle the vehicle tends to vibrate like a tuning fork as you pass a bump etc.
