Dear Pakwheelers,
Accept greetings!
Trust below message gets you well;
I have recently bought Toyota Corona 1990 model 1995 import with auto transmission carrying 4A-FE engine. CNG is already installed.
There is a strange problem these days with my car, when i bought it was not there but now a days its doing this, its hardly impossible for me now to drive it. Its been standing in my garage for 10 days now, have consulted with various mechanics but no one diagnosed its problem, 1 saying that it has electrical issues with its wiring, otherone said its ECU has fault, have replaced the ECU as well but the problem did not resolved, another one told me to get the car scanned but when i took it to the scanning guy the guy told me that this engine's ECU cannot be scanned since its system is not like the other EFI cars of these days. its doing this problem on petrol and CNG both, in idle position it doesnt do this, the RPM stays constant but when i drive it, after running something like 1-2kms and i start braking, its RPM decreases in a blink of an eye goes to nearly zero and then return back, this happens just in a blink of an eye, like the way you turn off a light switch and in milli seconds you turn it on again, like as if the current goes off for milli seconds and then return back, due to this the engine turns off and i have to start it again, someone told me to get its throttle body cleaned, i did that also but no success, when i drive and keeps maintaining its throttle without giving brakes it doesnt do it, it only do when you release the throttle in D mode and brake.
I m really confused as to where i should take for its remedy, dont know which specific mechanic or electrician in Karachi has good knowledge about this 4A-FE engine. If anyone knows or has this same car, please help in advising a good mechanic/electrician for this problem.
Please help out as the car is not in use and i m really suffering without a car. Below pictures is not of mine's specific car/engine, its just for reference.
Regards,
Sherjeel Khan
