Toyota Corolla xli Oil recommendation?

Just bought a Toyota Corolla xli 2015 model 26k km on odo. Need recommendation for oil change? I have no knowledge about previous oil Brand and grade used.
I want to switch on 5w 30 fully synthetic by aisin or hundayi xteer but heard that it's harmful
for engine to switch directly from mineral to synthetic oil.

Congratulations on your new car. Drive safe. I am having the same model corolla with 21.5k kms I used toyota petron oil but the car was really sluggish so I poured LM 10w40 at 20k kms on the recommendation of @haseeb.basharat (Haseeb bhai) and pretty much satisfied with so far. It is your choice whether you want to stick to toyota oils or others because I am using toyota oil in my 2012 since the start and it is running great uptil now. It is almost 110k driven. I would recommend to use toyota petron plus 10w30 with strict drain interval of 5k kms or 5w30 toyota japnese oil which is synthetic therefore can be used for 7-8k kms.

LM 10w40 is fully synthetic or semi synthetic?
And did you encounter any kind of problem after jumping from mineral to fully synthetic oil? I read on another post that in some cases engine seals starts to leak by doing so.

No issue in using synthetic if seals are in good condition which they should be for a 26k km used car.......I am using shell helix ultra grey bottle 5w-40 in Daewoo racer without any issues just used new seals......u should try eneos sustina 5w-30 or Mobil 5w-30 or total 5w-30 (it's economical)......

It is semi synthetic. But there isn’t any such thing. And I am not facing any issues infact I have noticed slightly increase in the performance.

Use any good 5w-30 oil. All of them present in our market are good be it shell, total, zic, pso, kixx or any expensive brand like LM, Mobil 1 etc.

Go for liqui moly super leichlauf 10w40 semisynthetic, or liqui moly 5w40 synthoil hightech fullysynthetic.

Mobil 1 0w40 fully synthetic.

Thanks for all the help. I will purchase LM 10w40 from MM LUBE Shop Karachi. My cousin suggested hundayi xteer fully synthetic while searching about it . I came across this thread

I just bought corolla 2012 GLi automatic with 70,000 on ODO. Unfortunately I don't know which oil previous owner used I mean brand and grade. I came to know that the car usually maintained by Toyota dealership so I think they might be using 20w50. Now I am planning to pour Mobil 1 (0w40).
Please advise if my decision is correct

Go for 5w30 Mobil 1 instead, its new in the market. 0w isn't recommended for 2nzfe engine.

Don't you think 5w30 will be more thinner than 0w40? ISO viscosity grade at 100 degree c (cst) of Mobil 1 5w30 is 11.00 where as 0w40 is 13.5.

Mine is Gli automatic 1.6L.

Bro, irrespective of thinner / thicker Issue, if 5w-30 has been mentioned in the car's owners / users manual, then it is equally good and best suited. Go for it!

For normal driving conditions, one should start from the thinnest possible oil, recommended by the OEM. Secondly, whenever you move towards OEM recommended oil grade (irrespective, thinner to thicker, or thicker to thinner, etc.), you get best results. Still, one can move towards the thicker oils, if thinner doesn't suit (many reasons can be there).

70K for Corolla 2012 is nothing, provided car has always been well and timely maintained, not abused / misused, and engine oil always changed on time, etc.

Bro, what if you do not require this much high kinematic viscosity (at 100 degree Celsius) for your ride?

Wouldn't it be like putting some undue burden on your engine?

Go for 0w40 than. Its a 1zrfe engine.
0w is recommended for it, but there won't be a single issue in 5w30. Nopes 5w30 isn't thin oil. Oils are meant to handle such temperatures. Remember you're not pouring water inside engine. Its a branded high grade fully synthetic engine oil which can take all the beatings you wanna give to it.
Change your gear oil at this much mileage as well.
