Toyota Corolla GLI 2010 Fuel Consumption

Asalam Walaykom ! I recently bought Toyota Corolla GLI 2010 it's 86k driven and it is giving me 9.6km/litre with A/C in city and 12.5 km/litre without A/C in city.I usually drive with light foot and shift on 2k rpm.How can i increase its mileage?

Thanks for the reply bro but I think it's mileage isn't good with A/C but without A/C it's okay.It should be 11 or 10.5 or at least 10 with A/C in city.

Which oil grade you are using?

Shell Helix HX6 10W 40 yellow one.

It usually gives anywhere between 10 and 13 in light to normal traffic city roads (karachi).
It depends if you travel a lot through saddar in peak times or you are just cruising on shahrah e Faisal at off-peak times.

Can anyone comment whether the avg is affected by the original engine air filter purchased from showroom versus the 800 rs airfilter on market. The 800rs filter is really thin compared to the showroom 3000rs air filter.

The problem was that i didn't reset the average meter i only reset the mileage meter that's why it was showing the old average combine but since i reset it also it's giving me 16km/l+ without A/c and 14km/l+ with A/c with light foot in normal traffic on my route to university which is 15 km one way and on small routes like 6/7 kilometers or less it's giving me 13/14 km/l without A/c and 10+ km/l with A/c.
