I had been reviewing pakwheels different forums and internet.
Then i finally went to meet 3 most reputable AC wala guys in karachi.
1. Sabir A/C : one of best ,decent guy who knows AC ka kaam through and through ,perfectionist. He is near to farooq.e.azam.masjid north nazimabad . U can google sabir AC. Almost all shershah and bahadurabad people knows him. Xulfi bhai recommended.he suggested vhange compressor and condensor both flush whole system check yr coil. In short change all three when u change yr compressor.
My low pressures were ticking higher.50's
Murshid Autos at khushal road ,bahadurabad.
Murshid bhai also turn out to be quite genuine guy. He suggested to go for abit alteration i.e use 2004 xli corolla compressor , change condensor . Bill upto37k. Some extra line change and computer wiring alterations included.
Bashir Autos , very famous for their honesty. Humble people , they sure know their work as well.
For toyota denso is the.brand. what i got.
1.New compressor double sensor 38-42k.
2.new condensor 6.5k.
- New coil denso,8.5 k.
4.Gas ,honeywell and Service charges 4k.
5.valve 2.5k.
Whole thing is quite expensive. I agree.
But benefits.
1. Original compressor is double OEM sensor based. No significant Fluctuation on RPM .self tripping.
2. Less feul avg. Issue due to less load.
3. Xli or terios conpressor are 18k and 12k respectively. But they have clutch system. U will feel rpm.jumps and fluctuations when compressor kicks in.
Our main fear is, wheather alteration really works.
Its really works just fine except this small issue and it saves almost 30k. A very very small change in car feul othrwise its okay to go ahead for alteration wala comoressor.
Kabuli compressors shud be bought frm yr own brother or brother in law. Othr wise , u have to trust the kabuli guy selling compressor.its no warranty.
When u install the compressor its gas recharge every time. I was scared of kabuli compressor for two reasons.
Its a used part which will have some carbon settled inside .u can keep used condesor and coil as well but all old component usually have some carbon, which goes recirculating in the closed system.
Hence , carbon gunked old system may works just fine for un predictable time or else replace at worn out parrs will new ones.
I learn its the our dirty environment when cloggs condensor which burdens compressors..
Hence for longer life keep condensors clean. By just do blowers in engine rokm and condensor vents.
And service with low water pressure gun to front grill.
Car washer guys has very high pressure. Gun which bends the condensor and radioator grills makes them lose their porous structure.avoid it.
I prefer original components for two reasons.
Its our first owner panni pack car since 2011. So wanted to keep it like tht.
Original setting usually keeps other setting original as well.
