Is it true that indus motors is going to launch corolla altis 1.6 with sunroof in august/september 2021.

Quite possible. They did that in the previous model (late 2013~early 2014) in which sunroof became optional in all models of the Corolla (XLi, GLi and 1.6) and it was called Limited Edition. They might do the same with the present Corolla before introducing new shape.

i dont think this was the case. The limited editions of XLi and GLi of previous generation had no wheel cups. no stereo and no speakers and was sold 75k cheaper. This is what i remember.

Limited Edition had metallic colours (XLi) and sunroof (XLi, GLi & 1.6). They were optional, of course. A person could also opt for a normal corolla without the metallic colours and sunroof.

XLi, GLi and GLi 1.6 had never had a sunroof in previous generation.

OK I just rechecked. You are correct. The 1.6 Cruisetronic had a sunroof. Though I remember seeing promotion ads in newspaper in 2013~2014 about metallic colours and sunroof for all variants of Corolla. I'll have to dig deeper to come up.with evidence

Limited Edition XLi. Metallic colours, central locking, nav but no sunroof.

Corolla of 2013-2014 with monogram SR on the trunk lid all had sunroof @qwertypoiu guided me for that he also told me that few number of Diesel engine vehicles were also produced during that final batch before shape change.

It seems that Sept 2021 we will see new facelift variant of Corolla with Sunroof as option as well.

Probably! It's also a sign that this current generation has run it's time and new gen might just be around the corner,ie 1st quarter of 2022.

May be these rumors are intentionally being spread to over come the rumors of new City having sunroof (not possible though) or they may be checking market pulse as they may have plan to introduce 1.6 with Sunroof and new shape.

i have booked altis 1.6 since may, delivery is in oct. Why would Indus need to launch new features in a car that is selling as hot cakes. doesnt make sense... unless its just a new sticker and price hike.
