To check expiry date of tyre!
I would like 2 have our expert's help2 go through this checkpoint.
I lately bought donlup leman 701 used 185 70 14.
I found a tag engraving on tyre marks (x2308).IS it mentioning 23rd week of year 2008?
If yes then is it manufacturing date or expiry date?

That is the date of manufacture of that tire.

For DOT approved tires produced after 2000, the week and year is provided by the last four digits of the Tire Identification Number with 2 digits to identify the week immediately preceding the last 2 digits to identify the year.

So you are correct, x2308 means that the date of manufacture is the 23rd week of 2008.

"Expiry" is a fairly vague term. It depends on usage, load, inflation, speeds of use, punctures, oxidation, hardening due to heat cycling etc. etc.

If you use a tire well within its rated load and speed, with porper inflation, on a suitable vehicle in good alignment, you can use a tire until the tread wears down to the tread wear indicators.

Having said that, typically, tires are designed to last about 5 to 7 years after production.
