Bristol- The 900 club: Bristol Fighter T In true 'plucky Brit' spirit, the Bristol Fighter T was the home guard's response to the insane offering from Bugatti. Clearly in one of their weird and crazy moments (they had many), the chaps at Bristol decided to drop an 8.0-litre V10 twin-turbo engine from the Dodge Viper into the already-quite-quick-enough-thank-you Fighter. As if the 1,033lb ft of torque wasn't enough, the Bristol Fighter T packed 1,012hp of fine Anglo-American brute force. Bristol said it would reach speeds in excess of 270mph (approx. 435kmh), but they limited it to a more respectable though less exciting 225mph (approx. 362kmh). We mourned the death of Bristol, a company known for being 'nicely understated, never underrated'. The Fighter T ensures we can add 'never forgotten' to that mantra.
