I've been waiting for a while to test drive the RS4 and today I finally got the chance. The overall feel of the car was similar to the Audi S4 but the RS4 is a LOT faster. The exhaust and engine sound are a lot more noticeable in the RS4, especially in Sport mode. The clutch was very light, just like the S4 and the shifter had a very solid and short throw. The suspension was much stiffer than the S4 and there was very little body roll. I didn't get a chance to fully test the brakes but i'm sure the huge calipers and the floating rotors are well up to task, pedal feel was firm as expected. The 4.2 liter FSI V8 produces 420hp and what a SWEET motor it is. The overall balance of the car is very neutral and I didn't push it hard enough to encounter any understeer. I can now say that the RS4 is a lot more fun to drive than the E46 M3. The E92 M3 has to be one hell of a car to compete with this monster. Now only if I had $73k to spend on a car.
