Hi,

When I am taking Full right turn, I am hearing a Tak tak tak sound from my car. I think its coming from the left side.
Is it the Axle?
Any one have idea of the repair cost of it ? in open market and by Toyota 3S dealer? My car is maintained by Toyota Central. before visiting them I want to confirm the cost from outside market

this sound may be due to damaged CV joint, your axle boot might have torned off with a leaked grease.
better get it inspected from 3S dealer first.
charges depend on what kind of work is required.

no. only the part that attached that rod to the wheel.

paramount autos plaza market has daihatsu genuine parts at reasonable rates

Just to update, the sound which is coming is Gur gur gur and the intensity of sound and frequency increase I turn in speed. but its hardly audible if I turn it at low speed. Is it still axle or could be something else?

Take your car to an empty plot, turn the steering fully towards the problematic side and start accelerating; if you hear the sound then it's an issue of the CV joints. Visit Shah jee @ lucky star Saddar, he'll guide you further. Most probably he'd charge 700-800 and repair or replace anything that's causing the issue.

Change ur car, repairing is a punishment here in Pakistan.

I have replaced the boot to Nippon (taiwanese) and refilled the grease. Now I am not hearing any voice on turning. Doing a dry test these days to make sure if every thing is running good
