Suzuki Swift alternating Tyre size for fuel economy

Dear friends, as all of us know the bad fuel average and recent hike in fuel prices. If we use smarter / thin tyres in Swift to achieve better economy.
For example usually the people replace the stock tyre size i.e. 185-60-15 with 185-65-15. But if we select 175-70-15 size, it has exactly same outer diameter as of 185-65-15 but with less width. Hence hoping to get better fuel economy.
What you guys suggest is it wise decision ? and what would be possible drawbacks ?
Will they skid ?

Larger tires can in fact, increase a vehicle's gas mileage if the vehicle is regularly traveling with consistent speeds over 60 miles per hour. ... I won't recommend it as cornering, braking, handling, etc. Will be severely compromised (may be ride comfort too).

Comfort goes better by increasing the profile and in this case we are increasing the profile from 60 or 65 to 70 .
The handling or cornering is not major issue anyhow breaking is the main issue as the car is DX, non ABS.

Debatable - I switched from 165-65-13 in my Khyber to 145-80-12 (changed the rims to stock) - hardly felt the difference in cornering or braking. The 80 profile helped a bit with comfort level. This was switching back to stock tire size though - maybe the effect would be noticeable going to 135/80/12.

Yes same has happened with me too. Previously I was owning Alto pkdm, changed it's stock tyre/rim i.e. 145/80/12 to 165/65/13 and destroyed the comfort level a lot. Although breaking was excellent but no charm of drive. Even I parked the car in garage and begin to use bike till the date I again shifted to the stock setup and began to enjoy the ride again. But in this experiment I observed two things.
1. Breaking was excellent with wide tyres.
2. Comfort was excellent with larger profile.
3. Cornering was not big issue.
4. Fuel economy decreased from 11km/l to 9km/l in city.
5. Pick dropped badly.

Tire replacement does not affects the economy too much... I own a Suzuki liana using 195/65/15 and economy is same as it was running on 185/50/15

I also own a nissan b14, had 175/70/14 in it & installed 195/55/15 on 8.5JJ thick wide rims, still I'm not feeling a drop. So this is just a myth that people have made... Tires wo b 8.5JJ typr lagay hon unsay jakar mushkil se 1-1.5 kmpl affect hoti hai wo b 17 inches tak ka size ho

I am planning to change tires to Eurostar 175-65-15. Is that a good idea. I need new tires for my 2016 swift and Bridgestone or Yokohama are too expensive now. Plus the manufacturer dates are atleast 10-12 months old. Any comments would be welcome

Go for it. I replaced my Lianas tyres from 185/65 to 175/70, no difference in cornering or braking but fuel economy was up by at least 1-1.5 kmpl.

in swift have installed 195 sizes and the fuel economy is about 470 in full tank

yes i also installed 195 60 15 in my swift dlx but willing to upgrade it to 19 65 r15...any suggestion?
