Suzuki gs 150 modifications

Assalam walaikum my fellow pakwheelers..!
I am one of the proud owner of gs-150 (ALHAMDULILLAH). I want to share my experiences with this machine from last 2 years and some minor modifications which had done till yet..!

You peoples can also share your experiences and any modifications which had done by your self...
My hobby is to spend time on bike, in terms of any sort of repairing or modification..
First of all when i purchased this machine, I have changed my original bulb to H.I.D..
Secondly i changed my rear tyre to Dunlop indian tyre because the original one is actually for cycle and looks pretty bad on this heavy bike..
Third i altered myself the rear hub rubber because when i shift the gear the strange KHATAK sounds comes from drum.. then i put some pieces of wood and rubber between metal of drum and sprocket rubber, then the result was awsome..
Fourth is changing of headlight... Because when the electrician fit the hid ,he removed the original rubber packing of headlight which is given to seal light from dust and water... After 1.5 year the head light becomes dull and the water spots looks very untidy which goes inside the light due to the washing bike from pressure...Then one day i opened the headlight and i washed it with water from inside but when i was cleaning it with cloth after washing the reflectors shine was gone and the light becomes more ugly than before:P
Then i purchased new healdight of honda cd 100 from 1s dealer of atlas honda for rs 750.. the original one is for 1000 but the difference is nothing... This time i fit light with the rubber and now i am satisfied..this light shines more than its original..
Fifth is the alteration in speedometer... I have seen on pakwheels the guy who has altered his meter with L.E.D light..i got an idea from there and i also tried myself to alter my meter with L.E.D display... And i got success( ALHAMDULILLAH)...

i will update you the pics very soon of each n every thing and my project of meter as well...

Bro Imran Javaid how did you open GS speedometer it is sealed from upside can you guide me

Thanks bro for your response....! Yes it is sealed from upper side, the silver metal ring around glass is folded from other end.It can be open by small flat screw driver by some hard work..but its not much difficult...

Nice effort brother, pls explain the drum rubber thing, have u placed wood side walls or underneath of drum rubber ? as it actually a common issue among GS owner

yes brother this issue presents in almost every gs...the gear shifting sound creates due to rear drum rubber is not too tight and its very soft also, which makes jerk while shifting gears(mostly in 1st and 2nd gear)...this problem can solve by putting packing between drum walls and rubber...which may result some hard working to fit back the wheel into bike but makes gear shifting more smooth and noise free....!!

one more modification i had done recently in my gs... the ignition coil is replaced with deluxe's geniune one(AHL)..for rs 1350 from waterpump market( AHL 1-S DEALER)..now i am feeling more improved throttle response as i was also replaced the plug before with autolite iridium.. coil was fitted by SHAMA AUTOS (waterpump) and the guy who fitted the coil he also said that now the spark has significantly improved than before,,,!

The rear rim has also replaced by deluxe's one (AHL) for rs 1300.. as the deluxe rim is wider than gs rim and i had installed the wider tyre(dunlop 100/90-18)... i have replaced rim to improve the rear tyre's grip..but i couldn't felt any difference by changing rim...i think my tyre becomes harder and it is not generating more friction with road....matlab bat bat pe slip hona aik adat bnalya tyre ne bhi....
now i have become used to in 2 years that how to give power to breaks...but i am not much satisfied with the dunlop..next time i will go for dsi tyre INSHALLAH..!

bro i have used the wooden small peices from the PAITY in which mangoes comes in....!

now i have become used to in 2 years that how to give power to breaks...but i am not much satisfied with the dunlop..next time i will go for dsi tyre INSHALLAH..!

Bro jis tyre key gudee plain hoon gee wo tyre road ko grip sahi nahin kerta ics leay brake laganay per bike bar bar rear say slip hotee hay in this matter stock tyre is better
Alhamdolilah mine gs is running fine on stock parts dear kindly share with me more & more details like which oil you are using in your bike & how much speed you have achieved on it & over all performance of your bike & what modifications you done in it to improve its engine performance

Dsi is very good tyre my gs150 has mrf zapper 100/90-18 tyre it has very good road grip no matter how hard I push the rear brake pedal bike did not skid but good grip resulted in little bit slow acceleration

If anyone wants to remove gear kattak sound change your rear drum rubber to winder drum rubber suzuki original drum rubber is soft winder drum rubber is little hard as compare to suzuki and price is 100 rs I recently change and problem is solved

Can u elaborate more that what is WINDER DRUM rubber??from where it may get etc etc...it can be helpfull to other owners as well...

Bro you can try mrf zapper tyre it is far better than dunlop and grip is like dsi
