Suzuki Escudo 2006

Thanks in advance for Guidance.

I have bought the Suzuki Escudo 2006 Model Black Color Karachi Registered from Lahore in January this year.

I am very happy with its performance and comfort. But Engine is consuming engine oil in a very rapid way which its previous owner didn't told me and i was also unable to find it at the time of deal.

I have changed the oil and used zic 20-50 as well but no positive results.
Now i want to replace the engine. Requires your expert opinion.

For that i have few queries.
Q. 1 is its engine easily available in the local market??
Q. 2 Should i change this engine with another engine. If do so then what will be the pros and cons.

If its the M series engine, u can find easily in Bilal gunj since it came in Vitara and even Liana as well. You can even go for engine overhauling but will have less life.

Engine replacement is good option provided u find a good engine

This 2000CC engine same as it came in vitara but i doubt that it came in liana as well.

Does it car show blue smoke? If yes then always or only in morning.......... do compression test of it and if its correct then only go for engine flush with pcv valve change and valve seals replacement......if its giving smoke all time and various noise is coming from engine then either overhaul it aur change long block aka assembly......bdw the engine is j20 which is difficult to find in market but it will be in the deep weird lost godowns of scrap markets and u will get it cheap if u know how to deal with them as this engine is not a hot cake engine

Blue smoke and always. But engine is calm and not producing any noise. I am worried because as you mentioned that it is easily not available in the market.

Parts for this engine are also not easily available.....otherwise ovarhaul was also a good option

Sir, i am not going for overhaul.
Is it possible that i replace this engine with another engine from suzuki or anyother make.
For example Toyota Rav4 1600 or 1800 or even 2000cc.

Sir you can, but don't know effort and alternation required to fit in other brand engine. I think Suzuki M16 engine should easily fit without any alteration because later models of Vitara had same engine.

I m also not a fan of overhauling. U can always swap engines but a better swap would be m16 or m18. Toyota engines will require lot of extra work for adjustment in structure
