Suggestion required for hosting Valima Reception (KARACHI)

Dear PW Experts,
I have always been getting very informative and helpfull suggestions from this forum time to time. As i am planning to get married in February 2014, InshaAllah! i need info about valima reception as i don't know any thing about it.
I want to invite almost 1000 guest, and make most out of my limited budget. My budget can max sterched upto 8lakhs, for this i want to arrange something memorable that also in the centre of the city with some good decor and food.
So i would love if an PW expert in this regard can help or have any prior experience with this kind of event management.

try Sadequain Banquet Hall at NIPA. It can easily accommodate 1000 people and decor is nice as well. Or else u can try The Palm Gardens but its in Cliffton so not in the center of city!!

Bro, I'm into this field, You can get easily an good decoration with some great food menu..
I don't know where halls/gardens are because I'm from hyderabad..
According to your budget, To check per head, 8lacs(which is your budget) divide by 1000(no. of persons) equals to 800 per head which includes deocoration and food, I know some people here in karachi, let me ask them rates and I'll get back to you

First of all Congrats, There are some lawn behind Millennium mall That is exactly in the middle of the City. Its a big place so i think it will easily accommodate 1000 people.

Decoration (which doesnot includes food):
Rates in karachi start for 100-250 for normal setup depending on quality, furniture and clothes, some pictures that might help you:

Those pictures are as example of normal decoration, you can get some stuff up and down,

Royal package which includes everything, It starts with 350-600 per head, like great stuff, pictures will define everything:

Congratulations on your marriage. My sincerest advise to you is not to spend too much on your wedding. Its a needless extravagance that Allah dislikes. Inviting an army of 1000 guests will earn you no rewards. Keep it as simple as possible and keep the money safe for a rainy day if not for a charitable purpose. We always want to make people happy but do so little to make Allah happy. Please dont mind my saying all this. God bless!
