Suggest Manual Transmission Oil

Hello,
I want some info about transmission oil grade.
My 2007 corolla is completely stock and 101200 km driven till now. Maintenance is always done on time.
First time transmission oil was changed by previous owner from toyota dealership.
Then i changed it with (local) Shell S140(red bottle) at 1 lac km. But my mind is not accepting it and i want to replace it with factory recommended oil.

Use 75W-90 Gear Oil Grade From ZIC Or Caltex Whatever You Find Good And Genuine....!

Sheel S140 As Per Name......It Looks SAE140 Type Which Is A Differential Oil For Big Moving Type Gears.....!

If Its SAE140...Get Rid Of It ASAP As It Will Make Your Gearbox Crunch Like Anything Specially On High Revss....!

Go for zic gear oil the best of the lot in my perspective i have put it in my corolla 96 and the shifting has become so smooth
but beware u must do some research before buying whether it is genuine product or fake.

is there any way to identify a fake or original product ??
or is there any specific smell of original gear oil. Shell Spirax has a horrible smell.more than rotten eggs

Strange That There's No Viscosity Mentioned...Look At back of Pack....It Should Say SAE140 or So...

Anyways.....Here You Make Blunder...Its Wrong Oil Anyways.....Just Get Rid Of It Allllllll

Drain It Nicely As Much As U Can.....

After That......Get ZIC/Caltex Manual Transmission Oil...In 75w-90 Or 80w-90

I Hope You Didn't Have Worned Any Of Synchro Gear Yet.....!!

Just Get Rid Of It.....And Always Buy Oil From Good Shop Which Can Be Trusted...

There Are Tons Of Fake Shell Oil Products Specially red Bottles Type......Even Media Expose Them ...And It Smells Like A Normal Mineral Oil ....Not Like Rotten Eggs...There Must Be Something Real Fishy Abt This Bottle....

Beside That.....Confirm The GODDAMN Viscosity....Gearbox Oil Comes In Variety Of Viscosity.......And Synchro Type Boxes Uses Lighter ...!

SAE140 Is For Differentials With Plain Moving Mechanism...

Brother Toyota genuine gear oil in silver tin will cost you 1100 rs / litre and is best for your car for next 3 years or 50,000 KM easily.

2 litre should be enough for your corolla.

You Have To Look For Viscosity My Dear.....!! Sab Ghaada Ghoora Nai Barabar Hota Ismein.....Synchronized Transmission Use Specific Viscosity Oil ....! Using Thicker Oil Will Damage Them In Working....

any gear oil smells like dead animals, its normal - specially after use. anyway - this is incorrect for your transmission, replace it with the correct spec lube.
