Suggest Alloy Rims and Tyres for GLI

Salam to All PakWheelers.
Brothers, I need your valuable suggestion. I have just purchased GLI Special edition (2018) in Super White color. The reason for purchasing this super white car is to give it's exterior Grande's look.

I want to change tyres and rims at first, but stock tyres (Euro Star) comes in 15 size and Rims are with wheel covers. I want to replace them with 16 rims (Grande ones) and any imported tyres. But the question is, whether switching to 16 would impact the fuel economy and suspension? Because Toyota GT has confirmed this, hence i wanted to reconfirm from pakwheels.

Grande rims are so costly woth tyres that end price will be close to altis 1.6..recently.someone shared details in 11gen fan club. Get some lenso rims rather than opting for grande oem rims else if u are not short of money.. then check with your dealership for rims. Copies are available but quality will be horrible. Mileage will be impacted due to 1.3 engine and bigger body as bigger tyres will add to load but there should not be too much difference.

Definitely i won't spend that much to take its price anywhere close to Altis 1.6. Dealership says it would cost you much if you purchase from us *around 80k per rim), so it's better to check the market. That is why i'am here.
Actually in addition to looks, the drive is too bumpy. So i must have to settle to some good tyres if not rims. Is there any place to buy grande rims like wheelcaps and what would you say about the tyres, Yokohama tyres?? or ant other brand.

Bro just change tyres to advan db or continental cc6 and ride quality will.drastically improve. Get rims from performance parts...they have great variety branded rims at bargain price.

Well, i guess i need to quit about what i'am thinking about the rims, i have checked performance parts page. BUT I Think OEM grande rims are much expensive and, substandard copies or any other design, i don't want to buy. So, Can you plz suggest any authorized or fair dealer for Advan DB tyres in Rawalpindi or Islamabad? And any estimated cost with these Euro tyres, only 100KM driven. ?

I wanted to put altis rims in my gli auto 2018 but after doing lot of research it’s really expensive, even if you don’t get the .org from the dealership, standard copy cost close to 60-70 k and tires also over 70k , it’s better to spend little more and get altis which honestly I’ve should have gotten in the first place due to non avb on the spot I’ve got gli auto, I have decided to get altis now after selling my gli auto

I have made the same mistake, i should have bought Altis 1.6 but it wasn't available at the spot. Well, tyres are also 70k plus, Advan DB? and what about the exchange with Euro Star, 100km driven. Any difference in price?

Max 15000-16000 can be adjusted i guess.get lenoso or enkei rims..forget sltis rims..price wil not justify sir.

Stick to standard tire size, 16 inches will look good but will effect fuel economy and ride will be effected as aspect ratio will decrease and more bumps will be felt inside car.

Secondly, if buying after market then don't go for heavy ones as they will increase un-sprung mass which effects suspension.

You can also go for pre-face lift OEM alloy rims, they will cost less.

For tires, go for Yokos or Continental. Continental will be hard to find as there isn't any official dealer in here.

16 inch is fine but will be heavy for engine..1inch and wide tyres ad a lot of wright in reality

Alright, i guess i shouldn't go for the rims. But tyres are to be replaced. And Yokohama's Advan DB are ok. 15000 approx for Euros and around 50k is the total expense right??

Bro 15 inch are cheaper..i think max 30-32k lagay ga eith tyres. 195/15./65 advan db v551

Great, any suggestion brother, where to buy these tyres. Any authorized dealer in RWP/ISB. Sorry i never done any modification so have no idea.

Brother the stock Euro tyres are able to withstand Pakistani road conditions? and will they be enough to be taken for the next 10,000 KMS? just for info

Euro star goes till 70k here...however, tyres are pathetic and u only enjoy rode once you change them

You can check out Asad Tires Saddar Rawalpindi.
One important thing when buying tires , always check the manufacturing date, it is written on the tire. preferably buy the same year tire.
survey the whole market, check rates etc....

I changed my brv general tyres with yokohama advan db v552 205/60/16 from saif traders faisal town lahore.he quoted me 15000 for one tyre after bargain he agree to install 4 tyres in 50000 rs.or meray puranay 18000km chalay huay tyre unho nay rakh liay
