Geely Automobile, one of most quickly developing Chinese automobile manufacturers recently has deduced{removed} new mark on market LG-1.

The car which officially name Geely LG-1 King Kong, has been created by means of the Korean and Italian companies. Geely approves{confirms}, that above the project worked more than 1000 Chinese and caused from abroad constructors. There are three updatings Geely LG-1: 1.5, 1.6 1.8-liter. Key measurements: wheel base: 2502 mm, length/width/height: mm 4342/1692/1435. Geely King Kong LG-1 costs{stands} about 70 000-90 000 Chinese yuans.

From the desk of our Chinese affiliate comes word that Geely has unveiled the KingKong, a compact sedan with apparently mighty aspirations. The newest Geely model will be available with 1.5L, 1.6L and 1.8L DOHC, 16-valve engines, all of which were developed in-house by Geely and meet European emissions standards. The KingKong will be available in Sky Blue, Silk Silver, Snow Mountain White and, of course, Chinese Red.

The rather ironic name has two meanings in the car's native tongue. Taken literally in Chinese it means "steel concrete" but could also be interpreted as "strong" because of its connection with Hollywood's most famous giant gorilla. In our own play money the KingKong would cost around $8,350. Around Autoblog Towers, at least one staffer thinks that KingKong has a certain Aura (cough) about it... what do you think?

Not a bad car considering it is Chinese. This car should come to Pakistan instead of the Victors etc. but with a different name of course.

but for sure the car has some dashing looks & awesome finishing... and the price tag is too cooool!!!!

i will give 10/10

the front is inspired from Vauxhaull Vectra VXR but what im surprised to see is the ultra quality finish (that seems to be) in the pictures & the shape is very well executed too... just what i dont like is the name KingKong...... urghhhh!!!!!

Geely offers some very good products and in competitive price too. If somehow Geely enters Pakistan, im sure they can devastate many of the locals here.....

it,s nice but it,s look,s the chinese copied two different cars the front from vauxhall vectra and the rear from renault megane

@storm bhai, geely is the name of the company not the car .. car is called king kong .. hahaha .. chinese can make a good car but cannot name it :slight_smile:

at $8350 it becomes rs 501000 Pakistani .. wow it can be the most sucessful sedan here eaisly .. my vote would have been for proton saga .. but rear roof problem and curb engine stopped it ..
this car looks like just droped from heaven for us ..

by the way the car, which is officially named Geely King Kong has been developed with assistance from Korean and Italian companies. Geely claims there were over 1000 engineers from China and abroad summoned for the project.

The car is definately looking good but they could have hored one linguist along with 1000 engineers to name it in a better way.

Geely in punjabi is WET and that alone is enough fun to be made in Pakistan. BUt the car looks good for sure.

How about to rename this car to

! GEELY PAKISTANI ! lol

I can say that This car will be a BIG hit in Pakistan.
