Strange voice from GS-150

I bought Suzuki GS-150 almost a month ago. Since the start i wasn't very careful about driving it on slow speeds during the running period. I accelerated it upto its max i.e. 110 Km/h speed that i heard is very dangerous for any new engine. Fortunately my bike didn't halted, jammed or ceased. But for some days i am observing a strange voice coming out from some where the top of engine (the head or whatever you call it), the voice is like "hiss" or "Sarsarahat" as you call it in plain urdu. I have recently changed the first oil on 400 Kms. The oil i used is Suzuki 10W-40. Also my old cd-70 used to make such voice when i didn't got it tuned for 2 months or more.
I am very worried about this voice and want some highly expert feed back about this condition. I also went today to the dealer and was freaked by seeing another GS-150 standing there whose engine was seized on just 400 Kms, that guy also dragged his bike to 110 Km/h speed

Experts and seasoned riders please respond to my issue and what should i do in this condition. Extremely worried about my baby

bro as per many pakwheelers suzuki SGO 10w-40 is pathetic oil and you dragged your bike on this oil kindly changed your oil to liqui moly or zic and tune in your bike from suzuki service centre aur 1500 km tak thora halka hath rakho

Brother now you need to go to at least 3 Dealers and get opinions on the sound. Don't mention that you sped during the run in period. Hopefully it will be something minor.

Please stay away from Suzuki oils as advised by members above. The sound you're mentioning might be a bearing of some kind and might be covered in warranty. I do not expect mjor damage inside the engine.

its ok for new suzuki bike especially gs150 - when you will go to tuning next time, you can ask mechanic to set this sound and he will do his thing to set up. I owned a gs150 and this sound was there in my bike as well...
You can also ask Sir @basic - sorry I don't know the name but he can guide you as well.
Also, it depends on oil - I think it is ok to use any 10w-40 oil other than SGO - you can go for all time running oil Zic 20w-40 and in extreme hot weather - may/june/july/august - you can use 20w-50 oil...

@mohsinwahhab! The hissing sound you are referring to, must be from tappets. If thats the case then its nothing to worry about. However, if you haven't changed the bike's engine oil, change it NOW.

Also i heard varied opinions from different people about oil. The Dealer told me to strictly use Suzuki 10W-40 oil and don't use any other oil as they are sub-standard and are available in different qualities (like Havoline) and hence are not suitable for a heavy 150cc engine.. But here on PakWheels i have heard different that Suzuki oil is crap. So what to go for....?

I am at office and can go to any dealer only in the evening today. Is it dangerous to ride the bike in this condition...? Also had an almost 20 Km ride today morning from home to office but didn't felt anything wrong other than that low hissssss voice. Nothing else.
Also felt that bike is getting a bit more smooth in riding and gear shifting. But that hissssss voice is still there.

It was in my gs too when it was new. It's gone now.

Bro. No need to change the oil immediately as you have changed the oil recently but I am talking about future you should use the L/M oil as I am also using this oil and I am quite happy / satisfied with this oil. Please purchase the oil from any authorize oil dealer with full warranty from your home city. The main thing is purity and all oil companies are not bad but the main thing is our mentality. Suzuki oil was good in the past but not now. Firstly you should visit the Suzuki Service center for the remedy of your vehicle’s bad sound problem. If your vehicle’s engine is in ok state (Insah-Allah will be ok). Suzuki 150 is very good companion but you should handle it very carefully with deep caring and love. Please follow the instructions and enjoy the riding every time with new passion.
