Got the 3M Fast Rings. These are intended to isolate the midbass from getting lost within the door. The central ring (pic 1) goes right behind the midbass driver and the outer ring (pic 3) goes around it ensuring the music travels into the cabin and the cabin only. An additional outer ring was also bought for each speaker which was installed on the inside of the door (pic 2) ensuring the coil is protected from water and reducing unwanted resonance inside the door frame
Ran the new kicker wires. Since the cs1721 has Allen screws to tighten the speaker wires, rather than pushing the wires straight into the sockets, I put on some ferrules and covered the respective wires with their color coded heat shrinks
The main power/gnd wires will be the 4 awg Stinger Pro series tinned OFC cables. These will get covered in braided sleeving along with the correct sized ferrules and heatshrinks
