Should I buy Civic or Grande in 2025?

I have the option to buy a 2023 Honda Civic Oriel with only 7k km driven vs a zero-meter Toyota Corolla Grande. What will be the best decision in 2025? I'm personally inclined towards the Civic.

This will be used as a second car, as I already have a Mira for daily driving. I plan to resell this car after 3 years— which one will hold its value more?

Probably the civic, as corolla is due to change, and the civic will stay the same for a few years

Times have changed, no car will hold its value since there are new entrants with much better feature set. But, Toyota has a better resale value.

I own a Grande 2022 Black interior, replaced an Aqua for it, and previously owned a 2019 Grande biege interior, replaced it for 2.5 Sonata.
Toyota has really cut the cost on the new one and built quality is pathetic. I would personally advice you to go for Honda Civic, atleast the model is new. Though, the built quality of a Civic is also not really good.

With the way the auto industry is getting more and more new players, I don't think the "big three" will be able to keep that title for long. People's mentality is changing towards Chinese entrants. If Toyota and honda don't step up their game, these Chinese will give them a very tough time.

My point is, we can't guess anymore whether Toyota will have better resale than honda as in three years, they both might have bad resale.
