Shock absorbers are just that. Absorbers of bumps and such. Struts usually consist or a spring as well and hold other components to the chassis.
Correct me if I am wrong, but on your corolla the front shock and spring is one unit? (Strut) while in the rear the shock and coil spring are separate?
When I was in Canada, if the springs weren't broken or cracked, I'd just replace the shocks and leave the springs alone.
The fronts, sometimes you could just get an entire strut and spring assembly already preassembled so you just have to remove and swap. If you can't get that, there is extra labour involved of compressing the spring, removing the top mount, and swapping those parts to the new shock/strut.
Not sure how they are available here, so you'll have to look into that and get some information. If your springs look alright and rode fine and aren't damaged, I'd just replace the shocks tbh. But if you car has high mileage and new springs are available too, you could try those. I personally didn't have good luck ordering aftermarket springs so I'd either get them from junkyards on low mileage cars when needed, or would have to order OEM from the dealership. Chinese replacements were always the worst. Tried em twice, never again lol
