Selling Experience of your Vehicle

Can people describe the sales experience they witness when selling their car.
I have been overseas for long time and came back one year ago.
I bought the corrolla gli 15 and after a year would like to sell it.
Can any expert please describe procedure, and how to deal whole sale process.Also is there any thing I need to look out for i.e theft or snatching from would be customers.

You need to filter buyers before showing them your car, make them meet at a place where you feel safest. Could be a parking lot (as i prefer a mall parking where one would need to show parking ticket to exit) buyers usually like to haggle and waste time. Just sit quietly and don’t be bothered with their questions, just tell them to look at the car themselves and make an offer. You can then accept of reject that offer - there’s still a hundred other ways to skin a cat but i’m telling you from my personal experience.

Easier faster and convenient way is to sell to carfirst... Just go to there website carfirst.com. put the details of your car it will tell you expected price you can fetch if you are happy book an appointment and get your car inspected they will give you on spot offer negotiate a bit and if you are happy go ahead with transaction..... This will fetch you little less than market value of the car but save you from all the hassle and stupid people and offers you may havr to come across.

Put up your ad with all details on Pak wheels site....take decent pics of car inside outside in day light....receive only calls....dont bother to SMSes as they are time wasters.

Fix a day time fr meetup in an area whch u know well with some smooth roads....i prefer not to be my home but near my work place.....take a friend/relative with you just fr support....

Ask the buyer to check the car themselves thoroughly to their satisfaction....if ur car was maintained through dealership then is best fr u to ask em to chk history themselves.....show them the complete registration file too.

There will be lot of negotiation talks....like mere usne to itne ke li thi falan falan....u be firm with ur demand.....if demand is reasonable then the genuine buyer will automatically come to you and buy the car right in a second frm u....sold 2 cars just like this

I handed over the car keys and file only after i received payment in my bank.....preferrably ask for a pay order instead of cheques

One of the seller gave me the file fr a car i bought after he transferred it to my name, coz it ws earlier in name of his spouse....u can keep this condition if u want.

I've had a bad time selling my cars, as the usual buyer is always trying to catch a discount even where there is none. They'll try to devalue your car with statements like is mai yeh nae hai woh nae hai yahan pay dent/scratch hai yeh jaga paint hai gari ke etc etc.

I'd also tell you that carfirst is a better option in my opinion. Sold a car to them last year, a car that was 2009 model first owner and carefully kept and people kept low balling me saying its karachi registered. Selling it to carfirst was easy for me they inspected the car, placed an offer which I rejected, then after a few calls from them with a better offer we negotiated to a middle ground which was good enough, better than what people were offering me for my car.

So I'd say you should try their services once, if you get a good offer, their buying procedure is almost hassle free.

Carfirst team is a group of looters. They evaluated my cars atleast 100k less than what i sold for..they make money from either novice or first time sellers

100k is still something considerable, i was offered 9 for a car that i sold for 12.80....
SO its just a way to take money from people who have too much money and label it as being hassle free sale purchase

Agreed, carfirst gives lowest of all offer and they dont share inspection report with you. I took a car to carfirst, was offered a low figure, took it to regular showrooms instantly offered 50-60k above carfirst.

my only tip would be if you want to sell the car, spend 8-10k and get it washed, serviced, vacumed, cleaned from inside remember looks play major role in sale.

Useless experts are sitting there. They declared by ceramic coated car as repainted. Then i shiwed the PDM values which i had in my car and while they apologized..the onky thing left was to kick them badly.. total fraud business and is good only for people who want to sale at chori rate.

Cheques get cleared the next day...and maybe it gets stuck due to any reason....and buyers want the car and file right away when they give cheque....so its risky if they disappear

Bro as a general rule..car is handed over subject to check clearance....i mean no one on earth should consider check equivalent fo a po/dd. Even PO must always be checked with bank to ensure its original and not forged. Check wala kam ia very risky..so unless check gets cleared no final signatures...simple and no handover of ride.

Btw real buyers meber offer such checks.. only fraudsters use such tactics...a check is useless since owner can cancel it anytime..and seller will be loose the car due to this fraud.

Yes u r right which i understand.....but buyers are either dumb on this or really smart, and say "sab sai hojaye ga trust us".....for sure i dont trust em coz they r really smart

U did right ..also get PO verified bro. PO can be forged as well.. and bank can reject it. In the last few days, i have changed the way. Now whenever i sale car, i ask owner to bring all cash to bank so i can deposit right there in my account.. that's safest. Else for PO, I only proceed once issuing bank confirms its validity..they can verify it over phone. Check ka mazaq hi nhn rakha..aik dafa liya tha per 4 days baad sign ker ke car di thi..car park ker di thi per nhn di thi
