Self of bike is not working... Solutions needed

Aslam O Alaikum,

I tried to start my bike after 2 months using self but the self was not working instead of it is giving weird sound of "triik triik". So I opened the side case and i found that the sound was coming from relay so i tried to replace the relay from the new one in my stock (not knowing that that the new relae is working or not) when i connected the new relay the bike didn't gave any sound. So i re-installed the old one coz atleast that was giving sound :P. The battery was low so took it on i ride and tried to charge the battery but nothing worked. Can you please help me in this issue?

First get the battery fully charged from a battery shop as you are starting it after 2 months, normally that triik triik sounds come when battery is low to fully charge battery it wont be charged by just running the bike for a full charge get it charged from a battery shop and then try the self start

Your battery is low.
One more thing I would like to add is that clean the terminals of your battery from time to time with baking soda as well.

Please give me 1 more suggestion i have portable generator it have 12v 8.3A DC output slot can i charge my battery with it??

no dont use such a high charging curent for this teeny tiny battery .. it will fry it .. if not will certainly damag it ..

First get your battery charged triik trriiikkk comes when there is not enough power to engeage relay to ignite the self starter... easy way to test it to conect both main terminals of the relay by any metal rod or a screww driver the bike self will rotate may be you found some sparking doing this.. but it would assure that you self is ok and battery is down beyond relay limit..

After getting it charged if still it does that sound and you have made sure the batery is ok then clean the hot(red) positive wire coming from Batter to relay and see if it not week, if it is corroded and rusted then its week and canot suport self any more get it replaced then see if the other wire goin to self from other node of Relay is also healthy after that I m sure there is on culprit left to stop self from working ...
