Rust in trunk/diggi

Aoa all.

This is the situation of Honda city. Had less rust in last 2 3 years which I removed with sandpaper and spray painted.

Now new patches are appearing under the spare tire. Moreover the bottom of trunk/diggi had STANDING WATER in it. Haven't serviced/washed diggi in a long time but it may be linked to rain.

Please advise.

Looks bad, i think you should take it to the denter, painter who will clean and apply paint. Usually there are holes to drain the water from the trunk...is your car trunk accidented? Usually after accident trunk gets misaligned and doesn't properly sit in its place and cause possible leakage.

You will have take it to painter to remove rust and then apply paint.

I had same problem in City many years ago and the problem was found near rear light. There was a small gap behind Rear Light from where water used to enter during wash or rain. Do check that.

Yasir thank you. After examination it's same as your case near rear light. One side drain hole clogged causing this issue.

How did you fix yours?

Thank you, have gotten rust removed and painted over. Have also discovered the leak source.
