Rim Size Issue

Salam Everyone,

I need a little help regarding my Honda City 2016 rim size. I never thought rim's width would be an issue until I realize that 7" width alloy wheels are touching with the back fenders. Tire size is 195/65/15. Whenever the car is loaded, rear wheels are touching with fenders even on small bumps.

Can somebody please help me troubleshooting this issue? Even decreasing the width to 6.5" is not helping. Rear wheels still touch the fenders but on heavy load only.

How did you decrease width to 6.5?
If you put smaller tires even then your rims will be 7" wide..
for 7" wide best tire size is 215 if I recall correctly..

Best solution downgrade to less wider rims..

But confusing [emoji848] which rims are they? 15" ones shouldn't be that wide and tire size you tell is ideal

you started off saying 16 rim
and gave 15" tire size

anyways the cost effective solution would be to add small spacers at the rear
changing to slim tires or less widder rims.you would loose sht loads of money

A larger diameter rim requires a tire with a shorter sidewall. A specific distance must be maintained between the tire and the wheel well.

Sorry if there was any confusion. Honda City 16 means 16 model. I don't really want to add spacers as I would prefer to fix the actual problem. Please suggest

I've decreased the width to 6.5" by changing the rims(another set) just for testing purpose obviously. I've purchased them from local market (Vossen Copy)

I have previously used 195/60/15, which didn't hit fender.

Yes some people suggest to change the tyre profile to 60 but I was not sure if that would work. Thanks Bhai
One more thing, I was wondering if changing the profile to 60 would do anything to suspension? Like the suspension is already stiff so the ride would become more bumpy?

5.5-6.5 inch will b perfect. City dsnt hv that much space for wide rims.

Bro, to be honest, City's suspension is already very hard in stock size, but after putting on better quality tyres in 60 profile, ride got better than stock, can't say much about 60 vs 65 profile softness comparison

Yes that's what I was talking about bhai. I've Yokohama DB Advan Series tyres so I guess those are good enough for city or is there any better recommendation? Main concern is profile I guess.

your solution is 60, just down grade from 65 to 60, though 65 is very good as in shock absorbance but you cant have it on.

Go for 60 profile. Yoko dBs are as comfy as they get, so its not an issue of rubber. Please post wheel pics.
