Required: Advice on alloy rims for Vitz 2012

Hello all, I have a 2012 Vitz, 1.0 base grade with no modifications done to it and am currently running stock steel rims. I would like to change and rims and tires but regarding the rims, I am a bit confused. The car already feels under powered to me and I think changing from 14" to 15" will drain the power further. Please comment on that and what is the ideal choice for tires ??? Not a fan of very thin, eco tires though.

I think the current size is 165/70r14 correct?
Kindly tell us why do you need to change it for ground clearance or better looks?
175/70r14 will fit on your current steel rims & 0.50 big in diameter will give minor ground clearance and little stess on engine & suspension.
On other hand 175/65r15 is good 0.65 bigger & not too wide.
185/60r15 is little wide for 1.0 litre 0.85 larger in diameter. Will provide nice ground clearance.
Rims on 15 you can put 5.5 inch wide maximum 6 inch.
Heavy chinese rims will put load on suspension. Branded light weight alloys will be better.

Vitz 2012 is KSP130 1.0ltrs, and NSP130 is 1.3ltr version of Vitz.
175/65R15 is factory recommended for NSP130 and supposedly also for KSP130.

I believe the user manual also states the same with 15" alloy rims version for KSP130.

Go for any good alloy rims in 14" size. I have 2009 model vitz and recently i have changed its tyres and rims 14". Before that from 2013-2017 (Feb) the car was running on stock steel rims

Go for 185/65/14 not any bigger than this.

185/65/R14. This is the best tyre size which you can get for Vitz. I have searched regarding this matter from back in 2014. In the meanwhile I had changed the tyres of my Car i.e. from 165/65/R14 to 175/70/R14 (Nexen Brand), in the start the situation was good but with in 2 years tyre became hard. So, in the end of Feb 2017, I found a design closest to the Corolla Altis (model 2010) design. I went for it and this time I went for the proper tyre size i.e. 185/65/R14 (proper means that a common size which can be found easily everywhere)

The Rim Manufactured in Thailand. Having the middle tag of HRS. While the tyre is Michelin Energy-saver Manufactured in 4th quarter of 2015.

You can also use 17" rims. These will look good.
Go for 205/40r17.

If you can afford light weight rims then go for 15" but if you are going for Chinese then forget fuel economy and power... for tyres go for Michelin energy saver XM2 TYRES.. The best tyres I ever found

Michelin energy saver XM2 TYRES is reliable for Karachi rough road? I have heard XM2 are soft tyre and soft sidewall which are puncture quickly... is that true? Anyone who has experienced with these tyres in their car on Karachi roads?

It's alot smooth tyre
But trust me it makes everyone surprised
Wil you believe I bought that tyres in 2012... Using it till now on Honda civic prosmatec
These tyres are near 100K kms and still nothing issue... I'm surprised as I used yokohama advan db before but they worn out at 60k kms approx and Dunlop worn out at 35-40k kms
My car goes daily from Islamabad to Gujar khan and the roads are not good though...
A weekly tour of sargodha is also fixed and sargodha roads will be like karachi..
From 2012 till date only two times the tyre punctured and both times a nail did it...
Two days back I bought Michelin XM2 for my GLI too..
I'm impressed that the cabin noise that made me fed up has gone wow I'm a fan of these tyres
