Rebuilding Nissan 1989 D21 Double Cabin HardBody Pickup

Hello PWs ,,,,,,, this thread will be related with Nissan 1989 D21 Double Cabin HardBody Pickup, i will completely rebuilt it from top to bottom , it is fitted with Toyota ?L? diesel engine which is I think in not a good state , at present I cannot conform the gear box as I haven?t checked it but I guess it?s also been swapped , it?s a 4*4 model but front transfer has be removed which mean it?s only running on rear wheels , I have checked the body and I think in spite of neglected and parked in open air since 2011 its still in solid condition and I just spotted rust on couple of places which is not a big deal ,
I don?t want to rebuilt that engine/gear ,,,,,,,, I think its batter swapped both of them ,,,,,, will decide later which one to choose ,,,,,,,,, body will be completely repainted ,,,,, color I can change and later will decide which one suits it ,,,,,,,,, front and rear suspension also need to rebuilt and all mechanical work will be done by me , for paint I will chose 3S ,,,,,,as always comments suggestion and healthy discussion are always welcome ,,,,,,,, I never work work on SUVs and especially this car is totally new for me so I will really on some experts of D21 ,,,,,, thanks

ok so thats the car ,,,,,, you can see body is in solid condition , very less rust , it was parked in open air in this condition since 2011 , I cant conform the actual condition of engine / gear at this time , but it runs and according to previous owner engine been rebuilt and after running about 20 to 25 K km car is been left to rot , any how I will check all that later ,,,,,,,,

The color in second and third picture will look great on your truck.

your this truck have DNA of Nissan Safari aka Nissan Patrol the power train transfer case & differentials. just incase you wish to restore it back on its DNA instead of a toyota hybrid. In close proximity of Muzzafarabad there is a nissan safari at a work shop rusting dead after accident. the body is crushed but otherwise mechanicals seems to be in shape. last i saw that vehicle was in early October 2013. The workshop FIXES Govt vehicles & 4x4 only & it is next to a hotel about 1 km away from circuit house. You may try striking a deal as that vehicle is scrap and without plates

well not just incase ,,,,,,,,I want to restore it back other then engine ,,,,,,,if possible for you then find detail about that stuff ,,,,,,,,, I will start working on my D21 in a weak time ,,,,,,,,,engine I will upgrade and rest every thing must be restore back ,,,,,,,,,this D21 has torsion rod front suspension and leave spring at back ,,,,,,,,,but I have google some pic of D21 with spring suspension at front ,,,,,,,,, you can see my D21 is quite lower from front end and high at back ,,,,,,,,,,from back it can be easily lowered ,,,,,,,,,front can also be adjusted from torsion rod,,,,,,,,, but I don’t think I can get the desired height with that ,,,,,,,I want to make it level,,,,,,,, I need to dig out that ,,,,,,,, car is not yet in my hands ,,,,,, its parked at some other place ,,,,,,,,, I will get it in few days then will check all that in detail ,,,,,,,,,,,

thanks dear,,,,,,,,,let the build start then will see ,,,,,,,,,first of all i need to buy some new tools ,,,,,,like excel stands , trolley jack , chain pully ,,,,,,,,i plan to sand blast this entire vehicle,,,,,,,,

Bro good project. This project will be easy compared to a car. Once u remove the cab and tub it's just the ladder chassis and u. Make sure u use new bushes and bolts when putting the body and tub back on it will make all the difference in the drive.

Seems like coil over shocks... d21 hss front ifs with torsion bars... you can easily raise or lower the front as required.. just reallign front suspension
