pardon my ignorance but which engine is the diesel 3.8? are you reffering to the 14B (3.6, sometimes reffered to as the 3.7) or the H (3.6)?

i knew about the 4.1, 5.7, 6.6 & 7.4L petrol engines, not the 6.8. Even in diesel it came with 6.2, 5.7 and 4.0L engines as far as i know.

even the 6.6 (closest match) that was offered in this vehicle downright underpowered as it only pushed 150+ hp. a good swap would be a large displacemnt turbo diesel so that there woudl be plenty of useable torque to get this thing moving,.. something like a 1HD-T (or FT/FTE) (with an optional intercooler for more efficiency)

agreed under powered. should atleast have 1 hd multi valve in it

do note that the multi-valve is MUCH more expensive to buy and gives only a few more hp and lbs/ft than the 12valve version. the intercooled multivalve is a beast but again, much more expensive and needs to be revved harded (power is delivered up high - which is bad for such vehicles)

his best option is a 12 valve with an intercooler.

nice SUV and as storm said its great find one with all the parts on it. do post pictures when it gets cleaned. and just a suggestion the spoiler on the back is not looking that good.

@rozzzzz, i just bought it for 100k. Judge the price, is it fine for this car or expensive?
I agree with turbolover, storm and hash that the engine is underpowered but i'll definitely get it upgraded whtevr it takes. As i think its a H(3.6) engine which needs urgent replacement!
