Hi
We are group of 4 students planning to visit murree and its surrounding and naran,kaghan valley.
We have no idea about the route and other stuff.. so will you guys please guide us a bit like
how is the weather there,
is it landsliding?,
how much time does it takes to reach naran from murree ?
How much does naran's hotel charges per night ?
Which is the best route to reach there, as there is a route from balakot and mansehra,, but now a days we are seeing very bad news abt these two cities in news, regarding to terrorist activities and so on?
so is it safe to go there, or should we restrict our activity till murree, patriata, ayubia etc

and which places are near from murree for vacation. etc

Umer

You can take following route if you want to visit Murree first

ISB - Murree - Nathiagali - Abbotabad - Mansehra - Balakot - Naran

If you want to visit Murree on your way back you can take following route

ISB - Abbotabad - Mansehra - Balakot - Naran

Naran - Balakot - Mansehra - Abbotabad - Nathiagali - Murree - ISB

You can also visit Shogran since it is almost on the way from Balakot to Naran.

Mansehra and Balakot conditons are fairly ok and safe.

Dear Umer Brother i think it will take almost 8 hours but one thing i must say that Naran is not accessible in these days due to heavy snow fall, please wait some time may be after 20-25 days you can go to Naran.

Travelling from Murree to Abbotabad is i think a very very good journey its a amazing journey which every one like and love. You can see the variety of different naturally atmosphere and also see heavens during your travel. Nathiagali, Changla Gali, Kala Bagh these places are extremely fascinating the human mind and also help for the refreshment of every one's mind.

You can ask ny further question.

i also heard that all the roads are blocked in Naran Kaghan region, we friends were also planning to go there but are advised to wait, any idea when will the roads be cleared, any change before 23th 24th April?? also ppl i dont think that there is any history of so much rain in this month here?

really appreciate if any one please give the break up of km's and hours from Lahore to Naran, availability of CNG ,and how much km one has to travel on petrol if going by car. plus best way to go there if going with family.

road from abottabad to nathia gali is one of the most beautiful road i have seen. it had some dangerous curves but the road is very enjoyable to drive on. only drawback is that when u come from nathia gali to abottabad is that the weather changes drastically. when i weent last month i had heaters switched on in the car at nathia gali and in abottabad i needed to switch on car a/c.

the best way would be to go via muree. the weather will be cool through this route. else if u go to abotabad direct from isl then it will be very hot and road is mostly single lane (going through hari pur and all). Also journey time is more.

cng is available till the start of muree expressway. then no CNG till abottabad. after that CNG is available in some cities on the karokaram highway. but not in Naran.

Please guide me for 5 nights ang 6 days trip to 1st murree and then to naran (shogran siri paya lake saif lalazaar lulusar noori tops babusar) with my wife....need only guide for where to stay at nights
